Yes, Open Range is a better western. I think I'd classify Wyatt Earp as a biopic in much the same way that I'd classify the movie Patton to be a biopic rather than a war movie.PatAg said:

Tombstone is the most enjoyable of all 3.
I suppose Wyatt Earp and Tombstone really aren't in the same boat, as the former is a longer-running and more in-depth look at the life Earp lived, while the latter is a more audience-friendly action type western movie. They cover a lot of the same ground, but Tombstone is a tighter scripted telling of the story without the expansive look at his entire life.
That said, I still prefer the biopic over the audience-friendly movie.
