To continue the slight thread redirection - how do y'all keep internet costs down when you get rid of cable? My internet cost would have doubled in cost if I got rid of cable, eliminating them savings of switching to YouTube TV.
As for HBO Max - seems pretty cool if you're a big movie watcher. Not sure if it has a ton of value if you're looking for a cable replacement.
I pay $110/month for Spectrum internet, by itself, not part of any kind of cable bundle or anything like that. For the price I get 250-300 Mbps download speed and 15-20 Mbps upload speed. But it looks like they currently offer half those speeds for roughly half that price. I had heard AT&T's internet was worse in my area, so I didn't bundle that with DirecTV and opted instead for the stand-alone, and opted for the higher speeds to accommodate 4K streaming. Spectrum is a sh*t company, and I'm sure I'm being overcharged, but it was my only decent option last time I checked. When I switch to YouTube TV I'll probably check again to see if there are any new internet providers in my area.
