The Fountain with Hugh Jackman. One of the worst times I have ever had a movie theater. My wife and I went with my Mom and Stepdad on Thanksgiving weekend the year it came out and the theater was so full that we had to sit up front. It was just an absolute beating to sit through that movie.

I thought the fountain was a great flick. Sad, heartbreaking and tragic. The story she's writing of him trying to save her life... the visuals and soundtrack..

Then again, Darren aronofsky is my favorite director. ALL of his movies are tragically similar.

The wrestler, requiem for a dream, mother!, and black swan.

That one was John Travolta and Christian Slater. I think you're probably thinking of The Rock, which was Cage's best movie by far.

Sorry, his best by far is Raising Arizona...

411 The Hunted was recommended on the Tiger King thread. It's the dumbest documentary I've suffered through.

Spoiler: old men get lost in harsh remote mountain territory.

Watched Rambo: Last Blood last night. Shocked Sly Stallone wrote such a POS. Dialogue was God-awful, plot was predictable, and penultimate action scene where he kills everyone was anticlimactic.

Eh ... that movie was good, but it didn't feature anything like this (NSFW or young ears)

Agreed. Raising Arizona is greatness.

I actually liked him in Honeymoon in Vegas.

The critics ,though, gave him his best marks for Leaving Las Vegas.

Back on topic, I love Wes Anderson films., but the Royal Tenenbaums was not good and I have not even thought of seeing it again since the wife and I saw it in the theater.

I couldn't finish the Irishman either. Probably what got me the most was De Niro and Pesci playing the young version of their characters. When De Niro beats someone up he has to pause between punches and kicks to keep from falling down. I'm not knocking the guys for being old, but that aspect of the movie was just more than I could get past.
I fell asleep for about an hour during the Irishman. When I woke up, there was still 2 hours left.

I could have easily done the same thing. I think there's also a question of relevance. I don't mean in the "woke" sense, but I think the story of the American Mob has been pretty thoroughly told. I think that's also beginning to be the case with movies about WWII.

Aftermath with Arnold Schwartzeneger.
Killing Them Softly with Brad Pitt.

Both were terrible.

I kept hoping there'd be a redeeming quality for Aftermath, but you're right. It was horrible.

I love Meet Joe Black. Yes, its slow and too long, but I love it.

No problem with others disliking it though.

Independence Day 2. That movie was so bad I'd emotionally suppressed it until I saw it in another thread. I'm trying to think of others, but that might be the worst movie I've ever seen.

The Invisible on HBO right now is the only movie I almost walked out of. So bad. Justin Chatwin got the lead in this and Dragon Ball Evolution and was then booted from Hollywood.

Honeymoon in Vegas says hello.......jk....but the flying Elvises are great.

And ya'll are forgetting Wild at Heart. He was born to play Sailor Ripley.

I just want to second Independence Day 2. It's so bad. As I sat there watching I thought to myself "how rough has it been for Jeff Goldblum to read this script and sign up for this?"

Mandy is bat sh^t insane.

I'm guilty of watching the last Transformers movie probably more than anyone on this board. It's one of my default movies I put on when it's kind of late on the weekend, I've been drinking, and I'm bored and can't decide what to watch. I've probably watched it over 15 or so times.

And I will add every time I Watch it I catch something new. Probably because it's over the top ridiculous with no cohesion.

PSA:

Just in case you stumble upon in on some obscure streaming sight, avoid Battlefield Earth (Travolta). The first few minutes have possibility, then it becomes the worst movie ever made, right before your eyes. I saw it in the theatre when it came out, years ago. It was a matinee and the theatre was only about 1/4 full. By halfway through, there was only a handful of people. I guess yardwork in the hot sun was more entertaining to those that left. We would have, but my future wife was asleep on my shoulder and it was her pick for the movie.

That's hilarious. It's been in my Hulu list to watch but I just can't flip it on. But you just confirmed the ridiculousness of it.

Btw, Hulu just has a TON of duds. We have it for the TV series but I'll check over at the movies. It's loaded with Hollywood's trash bins.

Watched The Duel with Woody Harrelson last night.

Waste of time.

Watched Tomorrow When The War Began the other night. Still amazed Australia got away with such a blatant ripoff of Red Dawn, and it is still considered one of their favorite books 27 years later.

I quit the Lincoln Lawyer. MM was charismatic, but the story was as predictable as they come. Ryan Phillipe rich boy shows up, in the midst of prisoners declaring their innocence, and its Law and Order x1000.
