I'm a Def Leppard fan but "what has 9 arms and sucks?" is still one of my all time favorite jokes.
Can you show us the "go #*@& yourself thread?Ghost91 said:Tanya 93 said:
Def Leppard was awesome last year.
They still got it.
Holy *%#? I just liked a Tanya post.
It would take 6 pages for me to explain my life-long obsession with Leppard. Lost count of how many times I've seen them in concert, but do know it's been across 7 states over 32 years.
Finally met all 5 members - separately - last year in Memphis in the lobby of the hotel that they & we happened to be staying in for the tour with Journey. With the exception of "the new guy" (Vivian Campbell) they couldn't have been more gracious.
Rick & Phil in particular were above & beyond cool. Ended up sharing a drink with Phil the second time we ran into each other in the lobby while he waited on his family to come down before heading to dinner.
Had front row for the Memphis show and then for both nights in Houston a couple of months later. Other than Joe telling me to "go F%# yourself" in front of 20,000 people during the second show (covered in greater detail in another thread), it was epic lifetime achievement.
Crue & Poison opening for Lep is a bit like Beber & Coldplay opening for Zeppelin, but I'm fully aware that's just me.

I'd bet a lot of younger people will be there because they watched "The Dirt"
Hell yeah. Doesn't get much better than this......Junkhead said:
I love the 10-arm Def Leppard stuff. Not so much a fan of the 9-arm era. Saw them once about 8-10 years ago and Joe Elliott didn't sound very good back then. I've heard he's a lot better now. Would definitely like to see them again but wish I could pick the setlist. And Pyromania was the first cassette I ever bought with my own money. Still love that album.
AWESOME song. Back when they rocked! On Through the Night (the album) is pretty awesome, too.brucoh said:
Probably my favorite Def Leppard song though....
All of the tour dates are in stadiums. It's not just Houston.Buck Turgidson said:
My first thought was that this was a must-see concert. However, it looks like they are playing at the baseball stadium in Houston. Who the hell wants to see a rock concert in a baseball stadium?!
I've heard this from a few people but we saw them in Austin with Alice Cooper and it was an amazing show. I guess they just have good & bad days.jorgerr96 said:
I like how they are not telling people that this is a co-headline and both Motley Crue and Def Leppard are playing the same set length. I hope Def closes a few shows, going to a Motley headline show must suck. I saw them in 2012 and the opening band, who went nowhere after that tour, was better than them.

I fully expect to see Live Nation do a repeat of what happened with the GNR tour in 2016 and 2017. They couldn't fill the entire stadiums so they had a relocation booth for people in the upper 300-400 and they were given seats in the lower levels.
While I agree the NRG would be better, the only reason why this is "hot" is because Motley Crue is back, otherwhise they would all be doing casinos like KISS did before their final tour announcement.

This seems like a good place for this.

At MM are the floor seats elevated at all? Or are the further back rows **** if you're not super tall? Curious if these are worth trying/spending for or I should just kick back and watch the show from 4 miles away.

Really looking forward to this, even though I've seen all the bands a few times, my wife has seen none of them....brucoh said:
