Kind of a random one but I really enjoyed the first two seasons of Bloodline on Netflix. The third and final season was so bad that it made having watched the first two a giant waste of time

Agreed. Season 8 and 9 of The Office are really, really, really bad. Like, almost unwatchable. Bringing the cameraman in and having there be an actual doc was one of the dumbest decisions imaginable.

The last seasons of The Office are absolute unwatchable garbage. Last year I finally went back and watched season 8 and 9 after having seen the first 7 several times. Wish I had never wasted my time.

I never saw an episode of this show until i was hanging out in a dorm lounge and this couple came in and sat down and started watching the series finale on the tv. Once they realized I'd never seen the show, they kept describing to me all the characters, plotlines, etc. It took all my willpower to not just start making fun of the whole ridiculous thing.

Still my favorite sit-com of all time, and it gave us Joe Rogan. It sucked without Phil Hartman.

30 Rock for me as well. Was interesting and fresh at the beginning. It just lasted too long.

The office went from greatest show of all time to just very very good. It was never bad. I've rewatched all the season dozens of times.

Sherlock for sure(lock). S1 and 2 were strong to quite strong. S3 was pretty lame and forgettable. From what I've heard, 4 continues that trend.



Here's another one that may be a little controversial. Futurama. The original one was greatness and I'll love it forever. The movies, ehh. I watched its return premiere and the silence in the house was pretty telling. Never went back to it after that.

I know it lasted for another ~5 seasons, so I'm probably in the minority there, but it should have stayed dead.

It has a fan service finale that was a nice reward for anyone who stuck it out but that doesnt change that the first 2ish seasons were great and the last 2ish seasons were total trash.

Good call on Glow... last season was ****ing awful.

Ballers was never very good but it quit being even entertaining last season. Not sure I'd call The Deuce this season, but for some reason, it's not held my interest at all where I found season 1 and 2 outstanding.

Feel the same way about the Deuce. I've got 3-4 eps on the DVR and I'm not sure I'll ever get around to finishing the season.

It's been completely dead to me since sometime pre-9/11

Will wear out the first 8-10ish seasons probably my whole life, have literally seen some of those EPs up to 30-40 times over the many years ..... Won't even bother commenting on the garbage that sadly makes up the other 2/3 of the series

I don't know about awesome, but True Blood was a fun little show in Season 1 and then fell off a cliff.

A lot of these shows were never good.

Definitely Modern Family, but then again maybe I just lost interest after 30 years.

Arrested Development was my big one. Shame it got canceled, but they should've left it in the grave after that decision was made.

It sucks when networks cause the shows to be disjointed... (ie community)

Also sucks when core cast members leave (the office, that 70s show, scrubs). That rarely works out.

For what it's worth, only a weird side plot In the last season ended up being purgatory. 95% of the show and everything that happened on the island was not purgatory.

I have complicated feelings about LOST. I was and still am super disappointed in the direction the show went in the last season, and haven't ever rewatched the show because of it (I felt like a jilted lover). But the scope and overall storytelling of the show was masterful for years, and in my opinion changed the landscape of television forever. I actually finally decided to do a rewatch recently, and i'm kind of excited to re-assess all these years later.

I don't think the last season of LOST was as bad as people say, just disappointing (and there is definitely a difference there). I feel similarly about Game of Thrones. The final season didn't go as people envisioned, so the show became "garbage". I think its a bit of an overreaction, personally.

Anyways as for this topic, my first thought was definitely Scrubs. That "med school" season was an absolute travesty.

Andy Griffith when Barney left and it went to color from black and white.

Arrow is a great example, basically stopped watching outside of crossovers with The Flash. Oliver was still always great, just seemed like lackluster writing and some of the casting wasnt very good. Maybe should have ended after 3 seasons.

The issue most people I've seen have with GoT last 2.5 seasons, is there a clear drop in the level of writing. The story telling isn't as neat, most of the dialogue is a step down, which isn't surprising given the lack of source material to use. They did an excellent job adapting the books to tv up to that point
All the actors still killed it though, in my opinion.

You should catch up on The Last Kingdom if you haven't already.

I'm surprised only one person mentioned Lost, and not until the 3rd page. My memory is everyone hating the way it ended, but I guess even the final season was still good.

Lost is definitely up there. Sucked at the end

Anyone watch the ranch on Netflix? Once rooster left, it went from being a comedy to being depressing.
