I think Netflix edits the coverage it shows to portray him a certain way to tell a story.

Despite what is portrayed, I think he's a solid coach. He was the playcaller, and his players knew and understood his schemes. I think he was right in that Jason Martin had too many fronts, because their play on defense seemed to improve. His telling Martin 'to fit a damn front' when they were getting gashed by the run makes sense when viewed through that lens.

I think Martin thought he has so much talent, he went overly complex with his defense. JB basically told him to stop screwing around and simply things to one front.

I thought Martin's telling the players at practice "This is JB's thing" undermined the head coach and was bullsht. You're an assistant, either support the head man or quit.

His offense was trash.

Theo Von just had him on his podcast. Haven't listened to it yet. But I'm a fan of Theo.

I like the show, but...

It makes me feel dirty for enjoying college football.

And it makes me think JUCO educations are worthless. I loved KD, but you can't tell me that man successfully wrote a 20 page paper worthy of a passing grade on his own.

Dude. I mean let's be real. If those guys weren't good at football they wouldn't be anywhere near a junior college. Hell, lots of them probably wouldn't have even finished high school.
I have to watch the show with captions on because I can't understand what they're saying half the time....it was even worse with the EMCC seasons.
Somehow, ebonics is devolving into this thing where the words are mumbled and about 1/4 enunciated.
I can't remember the kids name but there was a DL from Louisville in season 2 that was the poster child for this. It was maddening. It's a sad commentary on the state of education these days.

Of course he did. Didn't you see all the pictures he put in it?

And watching the number f them having babies while they have yet to grow up....heart wrenching

Funniest thing was coach's dog Stogie leading the team out of the tunnel and instead of running full steam ahead, Rev style, the dog starts jumping and barking then gets run over by the rest of the team.

Finished this up last night.

At the end of the day JB is just like the players...Mediocre at what he does, thinks way too much of himself, his downfall was a direct result of his own shortcomings, and he's never gonna change and he'll never reach his potential because of that.

Same here.

Its easy to watch a reality tv season, and follow a team that is chasing a title. Watching a disaster season and a team implode was compelling television.

The episode against Garden City was one of the best episodes Last Chance U has ever put on the screen.

Anything happen with the head trainer? She seemed pretty incompetent and let the receiver go back in the game seemingly because he said he was fine yet is telling everyone else how concussed he is.

Yea I thought she was way in over her head but was doing the best she could with what she was given and the experience she had. I also thought it was really bad when Chance Main mentioned he fell backwards on his neck and she let him get up and walk off.

Really liked it. I don't have a problem with JB. You've got to be cut from a different cloth to get THESE kids to buy in. Why was he there in the first place? I'd hate for someone to put a camera on me for 6+ months. His biggest competitor, Sims could've ripped his ass and dog piled on him in that last episode. But he defended him. That told me a lot.

It's typical of these kids wanting to roll the dice for the NFL with putting in minimum effort. Bro- just halfway TRY. The teachers will get you the grade (Big English teacher bich)

I can't believe, that after the kick in the nuts these kids have after squandering a P5 opportunity is to keep blaming other people but themselves when they're stuck in BFE because of their actions. Can't fix stupid, fellas.

Just watched the season. Haven't watched the "where are they now" yet but will soon. Thoughts:

* Sad to see Bobby Bruce sabotage himself like that
* Brown looked VERY serious when he was almost throwing punches at the barbecue
* Brown may be an ass, but that first play TD against Garden City was awesome. The GC coach really looked like an idiot too there at the end. Brown had clearly gotten to him
* Criminal that they were letting Marquise King play with the concussion issues
* Loved the beginning of one of the episodes where they played a montage of them "going back to basics" and starting to have fun at practice to try to recapture their chemistry and then it hard cuts to "and the pirates lose again"
* Coach Price sighting
* It's so sad to see so many of these guys just quit on themselves whether it's on the field or in the classroom
* Brown is obviously an ass, but it's telling to see the players and the Garden City coach not trash him after he resigned
* Didn't realize how few of the players were getting full scholarships to be there

Overall still a great show. It would definitely be interesting to see their next season, but I saw that it will be at Laney College in Oakland.
