It's almost impossible to pick only 5 great 80s movies, but I'm going to try. I love 80s movies in the summer.

No order:
Karate Kid
Back to the Future
Top Gun
ET
Ghostbusters

There is no wrong or right answer. I left off sci fi and Indiana Jones, because those were great movies made in the 80s. I tried to make a list that really puts you in a 1985 (or whatever year) frame of mind. I could name 20 great movies that are runners up, but I'm sure they'll get mentioned if anyone wants to contribute.

Lot of great movies listed, but the quintessential eighties movie for me, will always be The Goonies.

1) Empire
2) Jedi
3) Raiders
4) Big Trouble in Little China
5) Back to the Future

I realize I'm subjective because I was 6 in 1980 and 15 in 1989, but every other decade's movies aren't **** next to the 1980s.
