Looks pretty rad, that de-aging doesnt look right for some reason though.

Yeah that's fair.
Not rooting against it, I usually like Will Smith movies..just seem to be some possible red flags. I mean, if we didn't have the younger Will Smith angle, would this plot look overly great? Will wait and see what the early reviews look like before considering heading out to see it. Just been burned way too many times on movies that have great FX and not much else.

To be fair, it sat that long because the technology wasn't there yet.

No other love for this here? Had to dig several pages in to find it.watty said:
Bump.
Thoughts?
I saw it, the technology is pretty dang cool on the CGI for the young Will Smith. Sometimes, it was so good that you couldn't tell that it was CGI. It's that good. But then other times, it's just not quite right. So the movie both impressed me and underwhelmed me visually. Just hit and miss, but the hits are amazing.
As for the story and entertainment, it was pretty standard stuff but I really liked it. Will Smith is good, and it was just fun.
They say that you need to see this at a theater that actually plays it in 120 fps, but apparently there are only like 10-15 of those in America. So you won't get the full effect unless you see it in one of those, I guess. I've also read that you should see it in IMAX 3D if possible. I saw it in IMAX but not 3D. Anyway, overall, it was a fun movie experience but not quite what I had hoped it would be.

This seems like a cool concept to me
I also wonder how long it'll be until multiple (if not all) cast members of any movie are going to be digital
