That's something.

I don't know what to make of this, but I've read some stories (I'm a Zep nut) that there are more than a few people, some of them famous musicians, that have a legitimate fear of Page due to the black magik stuff. If I remember correctly, Bowie was one that thought there was a time that Page put a hex on him.

Glad this got posted. I heard this live on Stern when it happened and as soon as Jason started this I thought, "Uh-oh" and by the time he finished, I thought "He F'd up".

There is a reason why you won't see any auto-bios from Page or Plant, much less an authorized movie. They can't stand all those "partying" stories and just want to be remembered solely on the music and live performances.

Jason, of all people, should have known better. Jimmy has been very generous to him over the years. Stupid move. But several have gotten burned on the Stern show the past few years, that's why he's the best in the business.

I should add, that seconds before Jason spoke, Sammy Hagar (they were in there promoting their new band) was answering Stern's questions to Sammy about groupies and backstage (and under the stage) antics. So Jason mistakenly decided to pipe in with one of his own.

Did Jason volunteer that or did Howard ask him directly if he had any Zep stories? I want to say Howard asked by my memory sucks these days. Either way, I was with you when I heard Jason say that. I knew it wasn't going to sit well with Pagey.

I am pretty sure Stern said something like, "Jason, I'm sure you had similar stories or things like that happen to you?" Jason just happened to serve up a Page story. Should have stuck to tales of touring in the 90's with Bonham.

One night in Reseda, Jason told me some of those stories and they were pretty hilarious.

And that's about all I have to say on the matter.

Page is sort of like rock mafia. You dont tell stories about him if you are in that industry.

First time I saw Coke was in the parking lot outside a club on Santa Monica Blvd.
It was two guys in a 15 year old - 1989 Mercedes 190.

Jason Bonham was born in July of 1966. His father died in September of 1980 and the band broke up...so he could not have been 16.

Led Zeppelin broke up after John's death in 1980. They were not touring in 1982 when Jason turned 16.

Good catch. I believe the story except for the timing. Jason toured with Jimmy when he was 22. That's likely when it happened. Jason was a huge partier for a long time so his memory is a bit fuzzy as well.
