Interesting move. I guess YouTube has lost interest in original content. Cobra Kai was their best (only?) show. Google could've easily put up the money to keep it if they wanted to.

The acting is horrible........but I couldn't stop watching. The redemption of Mr Bad Ass is so intriguing.

Season 2 still had a feel of "It's OK to be a badass" that permeated season 1.
The development of Johnny's character from No Mercy to, "I'm still a Badass, but that doesn't mean you have to be a dick" went well, I thought. Kid's do need to be tougher today. We have gotten soft.
Daniel is still Daniel, with no apologies. He's a family man first.
But Tommy is also Tommy, too, at the end, just a better version of himself. He has found another way, and not just a Keese puppet.

Tommy was always a little off. One of my favorite scenes from season 1, Johnny is telling Miguel the story of Miyagi beating all of Cobra Kai. He says something like "after that Tommy seemed brain damaged".

Is it just me or did they cast Robbie to look exactly like Jonathan Brandis (Sidekicks, seaquest)?
They did a great job with the choreography of the fights. These teens had better action than Iron Fist. Also, they gave Hawk some really aggressive stage fighting to fit the character.
I nearly died when Stingray emerged. That redeemed the terribleness of his character in the hardware store. Absolutely hilarious.

Some of the casting choices are suspect. Two basic white girls with similar faces and wavy brunette hair. Are casting directors just that bad nowadays? If you remember Elizabeth Shue and her friends they all looked obviously different.

Just finished both seasons what a trip down memory lane. It's crazy but even the forced nostalgia ( I was teen in 80's) feels pretty organic. Zabka is so good and carry's the hell out of this show . The fighting is really well choreographed those kids do a great job when they have to . Can't wait for another season .
There was but for some reason I'm not seeing it using the search function. I was all over it when it premiered on YouTube Red and I couldn't believe how good the show was. Watched season 1 three times when it came out and season 2 twice through.Southlake said:
