The original is an all-time great. I really don't understand the need to update it.

Plot twist: Arsenio Hall's character knocked up the sister who then lied about screwing the king.

They should just ignore the 30 year age time gap to do another barbershop scene. Just have all the black characters in the barbershop that Murphy plays look exactly the same and acknowledge their lack of again by saying "Black don't crack" and move on.

The Jewish guy, of course, would somehow need to look 110. And they can reference him by saying "The white guy? methuselah?" Laugh about it and go on with the normal banter.

They could either talk about greatest boxers again now with Tyson, Mayweather etc... and the Jewish guy still talking about Rocky Marciano, or so the greatest NFL cornerbacks or running backs and the Jewish guy keeps saying Jason Sehorn or Mike Alsott respectively.

this will likely be horrible, unless his son is portrayed by Donald Glover who has a best friend protrayed by Danny Pudi.

This will be terrible, no doubt. Eddie hasn't done anything good since Nutty Professor. And I just assumed Arsenio Hall has been locked in Magic Johnson's basement for 20+ years.
