An absolutely phenomenal series that premiered on Netflix featuring Robb Stark (Richard Madden) as the lead playing a war veteran with PTSD tasked to protect a pro-war politician in the UK.

I haven't seen a show this great since Breaking Bad and even then it packs a much bigger punch given it only consists of 6 one hour episodes. I highly recommend everybody watch this and I dare you to present an ounce of criticism with its production.

Good to hear, I've been questioning whether to start watching this one. I saw that it was receiving excellent reviews. It'll probably be the next series I watch.

That trailer looks more interesting than the snippet I saw on Netflix. Wasn't too interested but may give it a shot.

Don't know how true this is, but I saw some articles saying he's now the favorite for the next Bond because of this series

I don't see how it could possibly live up to such hype. But I may still give it a shot.

It is pretty good and worth the watch

I enjoyed it.

I couldn't even make it to the end of the 1st episode.

i have one more episode of dare devil and then finish this. I watched the first one already and am liking this.

I like how in the beginning they try to humanize these radical muslims and at the end they're like "nah, don't trust them"

Finished it last night. It was very good. I really liked that it was only 6 episodes. It's nice to wrap a story in half the time.

I could totally see that and I really like the idea.

BB comparison may be a bit of an overstatement but I was wine drunk and that ending had my adrenaline pumping.

All in all it was a really enjoyable show. Also great to see the King of the North back in action.

Very intersting is that they refer to Middle Eastern folks as "Asian". While correct, it was interesting vernacular that I was not familiar with.

that's very common in british parlance.

I don't know. Maybe East Asian?

Yeah I think it's just cultural. British imperialism days had major holds in India of course, which is on the Asian continent. So anything west of that is known for the most part by Americans as middle eastern, but that wasn't a thing for generations of British rule in India took place so my guess is anything west of India was west Asian, and anything east was east Asian for British folks.

Also, I think they have a ton more "west Asians" in their country than east Asians. Quite the opposite for the US. So that's why we think of Asian as all the eastern Asian countries.

Just finished. Very easy watch. Solid show

One of my favorite parts of the show is how no nonsense the cops are. Shows always have the cops basically afraid to take out the bad guys and in this one they were almost too eager to take the kill shot. It wasn't the best thing for all the characters in the show all the time, but I enjoyed that change of pace.

Not sure how I posted blank post. Going into episode 6, and has been a fun ride so far.

I hope not. I dig the miniseries model with streaming platforms largely because of the lack of episodic storytelling for streaming "shows."

I think it just debuted in England in August.

My wife and I liked it a lot.

My only issue was that twice they made a point to show him hiding an item of value somewhere and then later it was in a completely different spot.

Enjoyed the series. Took me closed captioning to realize they were saying ma'am, not mom.

I enjoyed the season. Some nice twist and some far fetched things.

not buying the woman as the master mind. Still didn't disclose who is the ultimate master mind behind the terrorist group. Maybe next season.

I just don't see a 2nd season

So many plot holes

I guess I'm the only person so far who thought the last episode kind of fell flat.

The cops were too close to him in the park, but the cops on motorcycles leading him to his apartment were only 10-15 feet in front of him. Ridiculous.

The female head of the police force arrived at the park and started making uninformed decisions just so we would suspect her.

Budd's female boss caved way too easily before and during her interrogation. It would have been simple for her to point the finger at Budd at her house when the police arrived and ratchet up the situation to get him killed. He was unstable and still their only suspect.

Agree with all of the above. My least favorite ep. still a decent ride to kill time.

Good show. Madden just won the globe.
