Apologies if it's already been discussed, but has anyone seen "Bone Tomahawk"?

After watching "Brawl in Cell Block 99" and reading a couple articles about Dallas Sonnier, I went back to see what other films he has done and watched Bone last night. Wow. Unreal...

I can't wait to see a trailer for his upcoming one, "Dragged Across Concrete" with Mel Gibson and Don Johnson later this year.

You can never go wrong with Kurt Russel in a western. Then I watched that movie and turned my thoughts upside down - but not in a totally bad way. I'm still thinking of that movie a few years later.

yeah.... Scenes in that movie remind you of the meaning of the word disturbing.

This.

Very original, entertaining, and chilling movie. I was legitimately uneasy/borderline scared the rest of the evening and night after watching that flick. Still can't shake the scene in the cave towards the end from my mind.

Crazy thing is, aside from the spooky throat contraptions, I am not sure the Comanche were much different back in the day.

Quite enjoyed this one! It's kinda become a recurring joke among my friends though because I was the only one willing to watch the cave scene. Its reputation had preceded it.

Yes. Brutal. Loved it.

Zahler's next film, Dragged Across Concrete is due out this year.

They weren't. Folks like to think of the Native Americans as bead and sandal wearing nature lovers. They enslaved, cannibalized, tortured, raped and stole with the best of them.

Great movie though! Brawl in Cell Block 99 was a little too simplistic plot wise for my liking. Plus inVINCible Vaughn smashing through multiple guys got a little unbelievable by the end.

I got it from walmart for 5 bucks, I've been wanting to see it for a while. I'll probably watch it this weekend

Loved it. I thought it was very unique and a bit different from the cliche westerns we're used to.

While disturbing I didn't think it was all that bad. IIRC they didn't show much of the gore and it was more implied and off camera. I've seen more disturbing scenes.

Overall a really good movie. It wasn't anything that was critically acclaimed but just a good entertaining movie.

i love gore but that scene even startled me for a sec. Always thought "ill rip you from a**hole to appetite" was just a funny saying started by hillbillies.

Just finished Cellblock 99. It's about as realistic as santa....but a really good movie. Definitely have to have a strong stomach for it.

Finally watched this, enjoyed it . Great cast and I liked how it really felt like a period piece
