Kids Cooking Championships...their tears are delicious.

There's this show where the guy gets scientific behind everything. Like he'll bake cookies, and then explain what the difference between baking soda and baking powder is. Or he's making something and is out of caramel, so he explains what it is, and just makes it and explains how you can make different levels of it based on cooking time.
So I'll just look it up. It's Alton Brown's Good eats. He doesn't just cook, he explains what ingredients do what, and why they do them. I love watching something like that.
I can't get into most of the competition shows. I hate how much they are chopped up and edited and you don't even really know how they make what it is they are making. Every show, every time, they count down from 10 seconds, and the shots they are showing of the chefs are clearly not 10 seconds before it's up. I want to see all the steps.
Loling that you had to look up Good eats.
it wasn't meant as an insult. i just thought it was funny because it's probably one of the most well-known and loved cooking style shows since 2000. alton brown has had/been a part of at least four different cooking shows and has like 4.5 million followers on twitter.62strat said:lol that I don't watch much tv let alone glued to a food channel.schmendeler said:62strat said:

Good Eats is probably the only cooking show I've ever really watched on a consistent basis. I basically learned to cook by watching that show.
