One that isnt necessarily talked about all the time. Not necessarily saying a movie that most people dislike, but just one that you think is hilarious and isnt talked about as a top comedy of all time.


for me it's The Heartbreak Kid with Ben Stiler. Honestly probably a top 5 comedy for me. So many awesome characters and just hilarious the entire movie.

[It's obvious that a lot of people aren't reading the OP and cluttering up this thread with movies that are considered to be classics. This is a good thread for people to find movies that they have never heard of in case they want to check them out. We are going to remove the posts that only list movies that are considered great by the general public. -Staff]

another nomination for me, and a less popular one, is Dinner For Schmucks. I love Steve Carell though. I think that movie is very funny.

One of my all-time favorites that sometimes gets lost amidst all the 80's era comedies is Real Genius.

And even though Airplane! and the Naked Gun! are always mentioned as some of the funniest movies ever, I also think that Top Secret! may be equal or even funnier.

Weird, Val Kilmer stars in two of my favorite comedies.....

FSM and Role Models are 2 of the most easily watchable comedies there are.

In the Loop. From creator of Veep. Many of the veep people in it. You know how everyone loves Furlong on Veep and his creative sport-cussing? He pales in comparison to Peter Capaldi (Dr. Who) character.

If you like Veep, you will love this movie.

My movie is collection is pretty large and like 90% action/scifi/animation, so my favorite comedies tend to lean more to the action comedy genre, my favorite often overlooked but cult classics would be Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz.

Not Another Teen Movie - Very underrated and rarely gets a mention

There's Something About Mary - When it came out, and for a few yrs after it got some pub, but in recent yrs nobody really gives it a thought. I know a lot of younger people who haven't even seen it.

Forgetting Sarah Marshall - Its a personal favorite of mine and I don't think a lot of people have it in their lists of favs or best.

A friend and I saw Dinner for Schmucks in the theater. I'm pretty sure we were the only 2 people in there laughing, but we thought it was hilarious.
