Actually saw the animated B&B for the first time last night. Pretty great.

I do think y'all are underestimating how difficult it will be to make $1.5B though. Also, the candlestick looks freaky as ****.

Funny thing. I didn't even know what Harry Potter was in the summer of 2002 or 2003. My wife and I were on a cruise in the Caribbean and the first Harry Potter movie was on the movie channel in our room like three times a day. I remember telling my wife, that little girl is going to grow up to be an absolutely classically beautiful woman and she's going be a huge star. Emma Watson just has that "it" factor.

Cant wait. Dont know if it will top Star Wars but its going to top a billion. The sountrack will be up there with Frozen. Disney is printing money.

I could see this doing $1.5B.

Yeah, not gonna lie...I'm not thrilled with Ariana Grande and John Legend on the song. Just doesn't seem...right. But that may just be my nostalgia/age on that one. I think it was a very intelligent move to bring back Menken and Rice, though, so I'm optimistic that the soundtrack is going to be really solid.

Okay, looking up the BO of all Disney movies (and not their Star Wars, Marvel or even Pixar properties...just the straight-up Disney movies):

PotC: Dead Man's Chest at $423 million domestic and $1.06B worldwide.
Frozen at $400 million domestic and $1.27B worldwide.

Needless to say, this movie will shatter that to become Disney's highest-grossing film of all time.

And Gaston's introduction in the trailer ("you are the most beautiful person I've ever seen") genuinely got me to laugh out loud.

Something about the way Emma Watson speaks, to me she has always sounded like an American doing a bad British accent. I don't know what it is. It just sounds...off.

No doubt this thing will be huge. But, can Lion King top it?
