casting someone from HP isn't some sellout. that's dumb.Using a lot of british actors for both is gonna cause some overlap.

I hope people were joking about that cuz how soon we forget....it's not even the first HP actors in GOT.


Tonks in HP was Osha the wildling

ummm.....you know Hermione's mother was Catelyn Stark right???

Filch in HP is Walder Frey

Mance Rayder was Aberforth Dumbledore

there were other smaller roles too from HP that have been in GOT.

I didn't notice it was Ed Sheeren until mentioned here but it was awful "poppy". Didn't sound like an old minstrel song. I noticed that during the show and thought to myself it seemed a little out of place.

I have no problem with the cameo but the song didn't seem to fit.

My $.02.

I was joking about selling out. I think all the casting decisions besides the Sand Snakes have been awesome.

And from that vanity fair article, the song Ed sings is straight up from one of the books. Tyrion has to blackmail a bard because it is referring to him sleeping with Shae, and he doesn't want anyone to find out about her. Looks like they have twisted the meaning to be referencing Jaime instead. Very clever.

they literally said the song was "new" so it wouldn't sound like old songs...i guess. lol.

The one thing I didn't like was Euron and his gift. Not happy that story line will continue to play out. It's either going to be a dragon or Tyrion.

Who said it was north of the wall? Could easily have been around Winterfell after the winter has arrived.

It was a flash forward so it is possible.
