How long do you want to ignore this user?
What about when I drive up three hours into the mountains and my LTE/data/etc poops out 15 minutes out of town? What do I listen to for the rest of my trip?

Thank you for the very helpful link! $25 would be a deal to fix that for once and all. I had no luck with google play when I tried that a year ago.

sure...just BACK UP your music first.

some people had problems with iTunes Match or Music and losing some of their music. i didn't though, but better safe than sorry.

you can always download the music for offline play.....simply choose an artist, playlist or genre or whatever and hit the download button while you have a good signal.

i keep a certain amount downloaded always just for this reason. but it's minimal compared to my whole library.

And that's great if you know what music you will want to listen to in the future.

That's a good point. It would make more sense if he brought his entire CD collection with him, that way he could quickly and easily listen to anything he wanted.

Or just bring an iPod and not have to worry about.

Old thread bump because I'm further vetting streaming services and didn't want to create a new thread. Probably this was answered, but Napster/Rhapsody and Spotify download your songs easily. 9.99 per month is cheaper than otherwise download. Most of my employees use Spotify, but I find Napster/Rhapsody to be comparable.

Not sure if advertised much, but anecdotally, Tmobile now streams many services for no data usage. We've had Tmobile for years and it seems to be a bit cheaper for us anyhow.

I still use my old 80 gig iPod, but I know it has a limited life. Any ideas on a replacement? Even 40 gig would be ok. I dislike streaming

We were early adopters to Amazon Prime, and I was using the music service from day 1.

Does this mean we get to actually own our music now?
