Just saw it tonight. It was hilarious, the girls in it are super hot and it did a great job making it seem like you were watching an extended episode of a great entourage episode

Some of the people and inside jokes won't mean a lot of you haven't watched, but it won't make it any less enjoyable for the first time watcher.

This should be the movie's tagline

Was waiting for someone to post this.

This was never gonna be a critical hit. The show became a critical punching back around the middle of the series.

Right about when it started to suck. Coincidence?

that's the way to go, brother!

Not sure why I'm hating on this movie, it just seems to make me angry for some reason. Maybe because Vince looks younger at 38 than I did at 21 or because I find Kevin Connally to be a terrible actor. He's just playing himself, right?

Now is true that Bud Bundy is in this movie? Because I'd bittorrent that cameo.

he's not in the movie from what i remember. There were so many celebrities in the movie, it's hard to keep track, but his face doesn't stick out as someone who spoke

The only thing that has bothered me about this movie is the TERRIBLE photoshopping on all the marketing material. Saw this at the theater last weekend and I had to grab a picture.

Then there's the posters.

I mean they couldn't have a ****ing photo shoot?

I haven't seen the movie, but I think this is a little like asking if there is going to be a light saber in The Force Awakens.

That was awesome. That felt like a long, great episode of Entourage, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Was laughing pretty much the whole way through. If you're a fan of the series, you're virtually guaranteed to be entertained.

I just wish it was longer. I could've easily watched 45 more minutes. And the ending was a little too easy and too neat. But small quibbles. I loved the movie overall.

Aside: I watched it in Long Island in a pretty packed theater, and it made me laugh how the crowd was exactly the type of crowd mentioned here. Pretty much the entire row in front of me was a bunch of dudes with tight shirts and backwards Yankees hats, high fiving and all that. Too perfect. Made me think of this thread.

Oh and stay after the credits.

VICTORY!!!

Seems like the movie will have at least a good start. I just hope it does enough that we get another one, cause it definitely feels like everyone is up for doing a sequel. With a budget of $30m, making its budget back by Monday wouldn't be too terrible.

I've never missed an episode, read half the script a while back, and knew exactly what I was getting into, but still... THAT was the plot to the Entourage movie? Don't get me wrong, the show was never anything more, I laughed tonight, and was generally entertained - and I guess that's all that matters - but holy sh*t that was lazy as hell. Not only was the story paced weird and all over the place - and I know this is stupid to complain about - but it drove me NUTS that the show ended in the fall of 2011, the movie took place eight months later (May-ish 2012), and yet there were all kinds of references/notable appearances by people from the last couple of years... Russell Wilson, Gronk, the Escalade they drove, that Cadillac Ari gave them, The Lone Ranger, etc., none of which was a "thing" in 2012. Granted, the show itself could have taken place a year or so in the future, but even then, ha, I just couldn't see past it. That said, again, it was fine overall, I just didn't expect it to be that easy breezy and repetitive (Eric and Sloan's will-they-won't-they AGAIN, really???). I know, I know... naked chicks, awesome scenery, funny dialogue... Entourage is all about the simple pleasures and nothing more, I just forgot how low the stakes always were.

The most surreal part for me was that Armie Hammer bit, which I thought was actually kind of a dud. I've mentioned this on here before, but I hung out with Armie and Turtle the weekend after they shot that scene, and talked with them about it for a while. I know Armie's assistant, and he was so pissed because they told Armie to bring his assistant to set and they'd put him in the scene as well, but Armie forgot to tell him, and his assistant didn't find out until after the fact. Ha, he's still bummed about it.

Anyway, I definitely don't need a sequel after that, but it sounds like this thing is going to make some good money this weekend, so I'm sure there will be one. All I know is this definitely brought out the ******bags tonight. So many bros in the usually bro-less theater I go to. The guy next to me wreaked of the worst cologne, beer, and B.O. TONS of overly eager, "I totally get THAT L.A./Hollywood reference" laughs as well. I guess it added to the experience, in a way.

Ha, also, there toward the beginning, those were the WORST photoshopped pics I've ever seen in a movie, hands down. And there have been some bad ones before. I've never understood why it's so hard to actually just take the damn picture for real. They couldn't have brought a Sbarro uniform to set one day, had Kevin Connelly flip some dough real quick, and snapped a picture? That MIGHT take 15 minutes, and cost like an extra $100 to do, if that.

The plot itself isn't bad. In fact it would've made a great ninth season. The issue was the pacing, as you said, and it was too short.

Obviously the story had to be condensed way down from what we're used to seeing with the series, but with the runtime they had I thought they did a pretty good job. It did feel like maybe there was a scene or two missing of them actually finishing the movie before jumping right to the Globes.
