Not quite sure I get the question OP. Are you asking what actors do we dislike because of the way they play their roles (this is basically the same question as "what actors do you think are bad actors?" which isn't exactly thread worthy, so I doubt that's what you meant), or what movie characters were so unlikeable that they made us dislike the actor?

The kid who plays Joffrey is probably at the top of my list for the 2nd. He is such a little **** in GOT that I'd probably be tempted to punch the actor in the face if I was ever around him.

I may have misunderstood the thread's objective. If we are supposed to select actors and actresses we hate based on their fantastic performance of a rotten character then my picks are:

Private Upham... Saving Private Ryan
Kathy Bates.........Misery
Scorpio.................Dirty Harry
Nurse Ratchet......One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest
The little guard.....The Green Mile

Costner is generally a good choice. Although there are outliers. Mr Brooks is one such outlier (bill hurt was excellent in it).

Dakota Fanning in War of the Worlds. I better get a minimum of 15 stars for this post.

Agreed. A better argument might have been The Italian Job, as that he somewhat came off as trying too hard in that one (or maybe it was that awful mustache). But even then, I still didn't mind him playing that character. The Score is another great one that shows Norton's range.

My reasoning for Kevin James. While I didn't ever just love King of Queens, it definitely had its moment, including him. However, everytime I see a preview for Paul Blart, Here Comes the Boom or Chuck and Larry...I begin to loath Kevin James, as these movies (and his role specifically) just look beyond terrible. I won't not see a movie because Kevin James is in it, but I will not seee one where he looks like he is playing a 40 year old, overweight teenager with special needs.
