We need a much better zombie series done by hbo or sho or max. I like TWD, but only because it is a zombie world. Other than that, it sucks when you really look at the acting and direction.

I always thought wwz would be perfect for hbo or showtime.

I agree but I do think HBO would have done an outstanding job with it.

I actually think The Passage by Justin Cronin would make a great show for HBO.

AMC's programming is higher quality than any of those networks, save maybe HBO.

The Passage was one of the most disappointing books I have ever read after the hype it got. I stopped reading and that was after more than 3/4 of the way through.

We're Alive would be amazing. I was actually more sad at the end of that podcast than I was with Lost from the standpoint of feeling like I knew the characters and their motivations.

I thought Z Nation was good. A bit campy, but good.

HBO should have done World War Z in a miniseries with all the different stories shown as the guy interviews them.

that is just it, most people are tired of campy. Unless it is zombieland, which was perfectly campy. The first half of WWZ the movie was incredible. Having something more realistic on a premium channel would be awesome.

This. I read this book based on the hype I saw in the TexAgs thread discussing it. The first half was interesting, and then it started to go downhill. I read through the first book hoping that the second one may pick back up, but that one took a complete nosedive... save yourself the time and ignore that trilogy.

How is that honestly any different really than Resident Evil? Yes We're Alive is pretty different (I think because of the Little Ones and their intelligence, but it is a zombie outbreak due to lab created monsters that we have seen elsewhere.

I never said anything about RE. All I was saying is they started with the outbreak and how people getting blood spattered on them changed to zombies immediately. Later in the podcast it was all about giant hulk zombies and smaller intelligent zombies with serial numbers on their arms and how they originated from deep within the earth.

Don't get me wrong, the podcast was awesome and I encourage everyone to listen to it...I just feel they abandoned the true zombie genre. That is all I meant... It doesn't make it any less quality.

I thought you meant in general it a different premise from other zombie related stories.
