Can't say that I thought/said to friends 80% of those things when I first heard it and so I was dumb, but not dumb enough to post it somewhere to echo through the inter webs for eternity.

Yeah, I wasn't sure how that would work, but also knew he was a good actor, so I kept my mouth shut and now don't have that level of bad take saved for the ages.

This is Reddit from 2005. No purple headers, no gray backgrounds, nothing like that picture. Individual subreddits didn't exist until 2008.

Right, but my point is hardly anyone was talking movies on reddit in August 2006 when the Ledger news was announced. Heck, personally, I didn't even know reddit was a thing until the 2010s. Back then, 99% of online movie discussion happened at places like the article comments at Ain't It Cool News, the IMDb message boards, fan site message boards, etc.
My bad, I missed where Porkchop mentioned reddit in his post. Still, same point.

So, looks like what is about to be the best DC movie is going to be all for nothing but a big tease? Here's this awesome Flash movie that would have really pushed the DCU forward if it wasn't for everything crumbling down and starting over.
We've talked about his a bunch now, but the rumor is, and Gunn has seemed to hint that, this movie is what will potentially cause/lead to the new DCU. The official movie synopsis kind of seems to hint at this as well...

Curious how they handle that. It's like he goes to change the past, everything is different, then he goes back to fix it back to the status quo. I'm curious if there are going to be any actual surprises in this movie. DC has taken to blowing its wad in the trailers repeatedly in the past 1-2 years.
