Keaton is in a different universe. If you watch the trailer, he asks Barry why he came to that timeline, and Barry says because his mom is still alive in that one.

Just read an article that explained it sort of…

What about Nolan's Batman?

This is the product of a bunch of execs sitting around asking how they can make a movie they made as much as no way home…. Then said let's just do that… call Michael!

Wasn't that Nolan's Dark Knight on the bat-cycle early in the trailer?

Tv spot has extra clips, including Keaton's suit collection and an extra scene of Kara (Supergirl) confronting Zod.

Is this a bit of a ripoff from the latest Spiderman movie "No Way Home" with the multiple universe thing going on?

That '89 Batman soundtrack though! LFG!

This is a play on the Flashpoint comics from 2011

I mean no more than Wakanda Forever was a ripoff of Aquaman.

It's a play on Flashpoint with Keaton taking the role of the Thomas Wayne Batman. I really, really hate that Miller is involved in this or I would be excited for this movie.

Even aside from all the horribleness, I hate Ezra Miller's "dorky" persona. I don't know if it's too real or too fake but it does not work for me at all. Almost like he's overacting. Not just "you're Batman!" but "y-y-y- *uses his inhaler* ga-goyyyy is that B-B- Batmannnn?!"

(That's my horrificly bad Justice League impression)

Well I haven't seen Wakanda forever, but my comparison is in regards to the whole "multiverse " theme.

I think I might be more excited about seeing Michael Shannon's Zod again than I am even about Keaton's Batman.

But apparently Henry Cavil's cameo was cut? DC sure hates him.

I'm pretty sure this was in development before NWH, actually. That's how long this movie has been on the shelf.

Yup, we were supposed to get this movie like 2 or 3 years ago.

And I have to admit I really want to see where this goes.

This looks incredibly convoluted, a little too goofy in parts, and feels like the most random grab bag of superheroes inexplicably stuffed into the same movie together.

And yet… I can't wait to see it now.

Because it also looks like so much fun, and like I'm going to really enjoy seeing these characters and this world finally free of the dark, dour Snyder filter/influence, and free of the baggage of the DCEU had it continued as-is.

After this trailer, somehow, I'm looking forward to this summer at the movies even more than I already was (and this was already one of my most anticipated summers in years).

I do admit, this is starting to feel personal toward Cavill, and I can't understand why they initially chose this route. I totally get Gunn wanting to go in a newer, younger direction, and so I understand them cutting Cavill's cameo for that reason alone. What I wasn't expecting was an entire plotline seemingly devoted to erasing Man of Steel from the DCEU altogether. I mean, again, on one hand it makes sense, given the Gunn of it all. But then it's confusing because this was developed long before Gunn ever came along, and Cavill was apparently still in the cards. I get that Barry probably "fixes" everything in the end, at least to the point where that's when Cavill was likely going to come back, but it's still super weird.

That'll happen when DC and Marvel have been ripping off each other for comic material for the past several decades. Also Namor existed before Aquaman.

i think we're at a point where this must just be a legitimately good movie. now, maybe that's by DC standards, but they have had every justification to just scrap this movie to the point where the only reason not to is because it's either: (a) crucial to the future of the DCEU, and/or (b) a really good movie. i'm betting it's both.

Unfortunately I don't see Cavill going through all the lying to everyone on Instagram, but even if a small possibility, I can only hope.

Also put me down for thinking this blows Guardians 3 outta the water.

Also, this has gotta be one of the best superhero themes ever created.

The only thing that worries me is that the put all the coolest stuff in the trailer, which I felt was done for Black Adam as well.

Is the version of Kara in this movie the person who is going to play Supergirl in a future film for DC?

Does it feel odd that the Flash is going to be like the 5th most exciting character in a movie called The Flash?

To be fair, the same could be said about Tom Holland's Spider-Man in NWH.

No way. He's popular beyond belief, especially with the teen/young 20s girls. My niece has seen every thing he's ever been in, and she hates superhero movies. Tom Holland could blow a snot rocket while being interviewed on Good Morning America and 10,000 girls would say it was the hottest thing they've ever seen.

When I took my 12-year-old daughter to see Infinity War, she was having a tough time with the movie when Gamora died. I had already seen it by then, but could see what was coming as the characters started to turn to dust. When Spidey dusted, you'd have thought my daughter just saw her mom flush her favorite stuffed animal down the commode right before killing the family cat, running down grandma and drop-kicking dad over the back-yard fence. She probably didn't really see or hear much of the rest of the movie for all the tears she was gushing.

Curiously, all of this repeated a year later with Endgame, starting when Black Widow died, but then they were tears of joy when all these characters reappeared, and it was high elation when Spidey swung out of that portal.

I don't know about anyone else but my crowd lost their **** at Doc Ock, Goblin, Garfield, and Tobey. Not saying Holland isn't popular but all those other characters are why people loved that movie so much. I think he was a clear fourth/fifth fiddle much like you say about Flash.

ROFL!!!! Thank you for pointing this out! I never saw Wakanda, but from the trailers there was always something off-putting about the villain character. Bwahahaha... that's it... they friggin ripped off Mr. Nimbus!!!

I couldn't quite put my finger on it, but now I know why my brain gave this movie a big "nope" after the trailer.

The guy playing the Flash looks like he's going to suck so bad that's enough to make me not watch it all by itself. How did he get the part? Lots of cool stuff in the trailer but every scene the unmasked Flash is in he just drags it all down.

Other way around, Mr Nimbus was a ripoff of Namor, who has always had that same kind of look
