Agree. I've heard of fans walking out of Marvel's End Game saying they were disappointed Wonder Woman didn't show up. If some folks can't tell DC and Marvel apart, even more will get confused as DC spins up multiple versions of characters and attempts a semi-reset that keeps some of the old actors the same.
It diminishes the stakes when storytelling gets sloppy like this. It also makes you feel like you can skip more of the movies because the continuity is so fractured.

Crazy how Reeves changes everything at the gun shot: posture, demeanor, how he holds his head, his chin is different. That's how you play Clark Kent/Superman and make it more than just the glasses.

What I recall about those first two Superman movies is that Richard Donner directed both back-to-back or simultaneously. I don't recall what happened after the release of Superman in 1978, but Donner was out and they brought in Richard Lester to finish the sequel. Lester redid good portions of the movie that Donner had filmed, including this scene.
The movie is available on BluRay as Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut. It is the complete movie as Donner shot and edited it.
For me, neither version of the sequel has withstood the test of time. It's not a bad movie, but it just doesn't wow me like it did back in 1981.

This. That scene really took me back to just how much I loved those movies as a kid and how great Reeves was as Superman.

There's a scene in the first one where he wants to tell Lois before their date and as soon as he takes off his glasses the posture absolutely changes. Reeve did a great Clark to Superman transformation.
This is the exact scene that came to mind when that other clip came up.

It's a shame the development has been such a trainwreck because that movie looks badass.
Holy crap, I can see why WB stuck with that movie despite all the negative publicity from the actor. Cannot wait for all the Batman's but particularly Keaton.
