Some of that is interesting. Some of that is trying to connect really really unconnected things.

It could even be possible. But it won't have a thing to do with the first and last two initials in a character's name.

I usually go about 5 or 6 days out of the week without thinking of ANY movie outside TFA.

I think their approach is the issue much more than their characters.

I don't personally love the Superman character but he has a lot of potential if done right, and the entire Batman universe is fascinating. Flash, Green Arrow (as we've seen on tv), Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, and others all have really interesting backstories that could be told well on screen.

There's a dozen graphic novels on Batman alone that would make for epic films, and have a number of really strong monthly titles as well.. For some reason DC is choosing not to tell those stories.

I'd forgotten about these. Now I remember why I forgot about them.
