Well that's interesting.

It's weird - and kind of refreshing - to see Will Smith NOT front and center in a pic like that. He's just one part of the ensemble. Granted, it's just a random, impromptu cast photo, and he'll no doubt have a huge role, but it's still pretty cool to see him buying into something like this.

No offense but that is kind of like asking why the other cast members aren't in make up and costumes in that other picture. I think they were tongue in cheek answering as to why Leto isn't in the photo and just slapped the photo together

I think he's talking about Leto's "Killing Joke" tribute.

But his hair is green.

Ike Barinholtz is playing Hugo Strange? I can't see that at all. He's a goofy ass comedian.

This is starting to look like the Mortal Kombat sequel where they just threw every character in the catalogue in. I'm still looking forward to it, but this is not a positive in my opinion. I mean who the hell are El Diablo and Plastique?

Yep. Or are in an intro sequence where they all just get killed.

Actually, that would be a great way to open the movie. Start with the B team trying to fulfill the mission for Waller. They all get killed at the very beginning setting the tone and this really is a SUICIDE SQUAD.

I could also see Waller lifting a panel and a see through mirror into another room full of B-listers and her just detonating the chips to show her power. Lots of potential in both scenarios to get the point across while also getting to through in some cameos.

Or maybe those other cast members/characters will be working for the "bad guys" the suicide squad faces off against.

Edit: Croc vs Harley would be a fun confrontation.

^ That's very possible. It's very doubtful that this turns into 8 on 1, for example. Whatever villains there are need to have some henchmen.

Reminds me of the Days of Future Past wikipedia page... Wolverine, 2 Magnetos, 2 Xaviers, Mystique, Beast, Iceman, Rogue, Shadowcat, Blink, Colossus, Storm, Sunspot, Warpath, Bishop, Trask, young Stryker, Havok, young Toad, and a few more mutants whose names I don't even know. That's about 23 characters.

And yet... it worked pretty perfectly. Havok, Toad and others only had cameos. Iceman, Shadowcat, Colossus, Storm, Sunspot, Warpath, Bishop, old Magneto and old Xavier were in the future and set up the plot. Rogue was cut. The bulk of the movie was carried by Wolverine, young Xavier, young Magneto, Mystique and Beast.

This movie may have a ton of characters, and it may be alarming, but it's totally doable. The actual suicide squad, a few villains, a few cameos and viola.

OR, it could be a bloated mess. That's up to the director to work out.
