Sounds pretty awesome.

I love the idea of batman monitoring Gotham with drones

I know there is no connection between the DCMU and any other films/television, but I really like Manu Bennett as Deathstroke. I wish they'd bring him into the fold.

Jared Leto's Joker is said to be scarred from years of battling with Batman, and will be the Hannibal Lecter of the film (i.e., playing mind games from inside his cell).

So, Jason Momoa is a badass

All that sounds amazing.
Curious about Wonder Woman though, we've heard surprisingly little about that character in quite a while. Is she involved at all in any of these movies, or will her introduction be the Wonder Woman movie in 2017?

She's in BvS

With The Joker appearing in Suicide Squad it makes sense that Batman wouldn't be far behind - especially since it's the second entry in the new DC Movieverse (Man of Steel doesn't quite count because the decision to team him up with Batman only came after the movie was released). But how will the Bat play into the story of a supervillain team on a suicide mission?
El Mayimbe at Latino Review has the scoop, and it's interesting. According to his sources, the only person in this movie who has dealt with Batman before is The Joker - which backs up my reports that in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice* Batman is very much an urban legend type of character. Further, Mayimbe reports that they watch footage of Batman in action, and that Amanda Waller says he's the key to getting all of the supers (that's the word he uses specifically. I think they're called metahumans in BvS). That backs up what I've heard about BvS, and have reported before:
SLIGHT SPOILERS - highlight to read
That Batman acquires Lex Luthor's files on metahumans, and that he uses them to form the Justice League. It seems possible that those files contain many more names than just Aquaman, Wonder Woman and The Flash.
END SLIGHT OLD SPOILERS.
There's something I've heard that ties into this, which counts as new spoilers, so here's a warning:
NEW SPOILERS WARNING! - highlight to read
I've been told that Batman makes an appearance in the film, and not just on a monitor. Like, he interacts with characters. I'm guessing that between now and Justice League II Batman is going to be one part Nick Fury - the binding agent - and one part Iron Man - the celebrity cameo that you can sell to general audiences - as they build the DC Movieverse.
NEW SPOILERS END!
The one big problem with making Batman a man of mystery is going to be, moving forward, the question of how he remained such a man of mystery for so long. Especially as the backstory of the DC Movieverse gets filled in, and as other Batvillains show up and as Warner Bros starts getting the urge to do Batman prequel films. It'll end up being a tough tightrope walk - make your future Batman stories exciting, big and full of rich characters... while also making sure nobody ever gets a good look at the guy. It's a real challenge they've set for themselves, and I admire it.
By the way, reports are that The Joker in Suicide Squad will be a bulkier, The Dark Knight Returns influenced version. This kind of bums me out - it looks like TDKR is the touchstone for the whole Movieverse moving forward. I hope that there's more diversity to tone as we get to The Flash and Aquaman.

But you do have to worry about the story.

Interesting...that's official TCTTS?

Someone told me that Ben Affleck's Batman is a continuation of Christian Bale's character, and not a total re-make. Is that true and old news that I hadn't read on here, or completely false?
