Director David Ayer just tweeted the first cast photo. I really want to like this movie, but this photo just looks super dumb to me. Though, I'll wait 'til I actually see these actors/costumes on the screen and in motion...
On first impression, the only one I really like is Harley Quinn. I think that's an awesome/practical translation to screen. Robbie could definitely knock that role out of the park.

I think Harley looks awful, personally. Flagg, Deadshot, and Katana look ok. Also, this is way too many members at one time. None of these characters have been introduced anywhere yet, I think 4 or 5 would have been plenty.
HarLey looks horrible and the rest look like a bad get together at a cosplay convention. Terrible

That said, those who don't like Harley's look, can you explain why? I know next to nothing about the character, but from what little I've seen, that seems like a nice "real world" way to do it (even though, granted, at least half of those costumes/characters are about as far from real world as possible). I just think that particular portrayal looks like a lot of fun.

holy crap i guess i didn't realize that they are going to have so many others outside of the picture above. That is going to be a ton of people that have not been introduced on the big screen. Do we know if any of these charters will make any sort of cameo in SupvsBat?

So here is the big fail by DC. AoU is starting a six week+ run at being #1. May the Fourth is tomorrow. And they give us a bunch of unknowns with no names or backgrounds in a group picture in a tweet
Star Wars introduced their new characters with vintage trading card designs. Marvel intro'd the Guardians with them being booked and discussed by the Nova Corps. This is the opposite level of cool.
Why not do a gradual release? A day by day starting lineup, narrated by Waller. Show a mix of booking photos and some security cam video or videos of psych evals of each character in costume. Make the reveal a big deal and give the casual fan an idea of who Rick Flagg is and why anyone should care.
But no. Tweet it out on a Sunday afternoon. Awesome plan.

I guarantee you the reason they have so many is because a few of them are going to get the Star Trek red shirt treatment.

I just got out of AoU and was exhausted by how geektastic it was. Then this lackluster picture of the group that 75% I do not even know who the hell they're supposed to be? They aren't in any way taking any of the attention off Marvel this weekend. In fact, DC's big announcement is just going to be ignored yet again.
This couldn't wait until at least midweek?
Oh, and the cast doesn't even look impressive in the least.

Was Killer Croc ever in SS? Or did they just want to throw a recognizable name in?
I like the casting for Croc, and I'll admit that I have limited experience with the character... but I feel like he needs to be about 9 feet tall, like in the Arkham video game series.

And I didn't don't think we won't get that (if that double negative makes sense). She's not a superhero with one uniform, I'll bet we'll see her on a variety of outfits throughout the film.
I'm with everyone on this one. Awful timing on the release, half the gang looks like Punisher cosplayers (they'll blend into each other the way the dwarves did in the hobbit), croc looks awful (needs to be wayyyyy bigger), and Harley looks lame. Harley Quinn is supposed to be bat**** crazy. Being bat**** crazy means she can dress is any costume she wants, but instead they dye her hair and give her a white t shirt? The folks saying she looks like a roller derby girl are right. She doesn't look crazy, just like some punk girl.
I just wish DC would trash everything and start over in a world more like the one from the arkham asylum games.

I also don't understand why her hair is died blue. Makes more sense to at least to red/black to match the character.
