I just assumed they put the tank there for the "Oh hey, there's the tank from season 1.." factor and they weren't super concerned about perfect continuity 4 seasons later...

I just assumed they used more than one tank in the battle.

It seems the hospital philosophy is to find survivors, hurt them, heal them, then make them "owe" their life to the group.

I think that's why that one lady was so pssed off. Plus the circumstances with Beth and how it's still very fuzzy on how they got her. Thinking about it more, I bet the funeral home was a trap by the hospital group. They setup a safe spot, then check for ppl every so often. Of course by check, they go in beat the hell out of you and take you to the hospital.

I enjoyed the flashback scenes with Carol, mostly with how it was done. It gave me the feeling we were inside her head while she was going over the bad things. Then it would "snap" back to reality.

Actually, with the immense fanboitasticness of the show, I'd wager they look at it through the eyes of Trekkies, so to speak.

its not. Kirkman said its in the deleted scenes from last season dvd.

Did they just say it was not a trap, or did they explain further?

They explained it as a guy who was driven by guilt on something he had done in the past. He would "kill" the zombies and then make them look normal at the funeral home. That was pretty much the extent of it. Said that story felt out of place so they cut it from the show.

Orrr there was more than one tank in Atlanta and it was just there to be like "Oh hey, a tank like the one Rick hid in."

I found the episode interesting, but not spectacular.

I think some of you are more inclined to like Michael Bay's work. If there is not an explosion and a zombie fest every three minutes, some of you are disappointed.

I actually like this season, with peaks and valleys of action. A little drama. A little character development.

Compared to the prison scenes with the illness and all that - - this is pretty darn good.

I am confused on the ONLY people in downtown are the hospital clan and Darryl/Carol. There has to be someone else moving about. But the only signs of life are the hospital clan. Wouldn't there just be a passing car, or someone on horseback or a bike or something?

I didn't like how they initially encountered the dweeb from the hospital. Unarmed, he gets the jump on them and disarms them both? I don't think so. Thought they should have had him fail from the outset, but inadvertently cause enough commotion to draw hospital attention. And I would have preferred Carol's entry be strategic vs a fluke. But we'll see where they take it. Still enjoyed this episode. Great season so far.

I'm not sure they are the only ones. The second doctor they brought in - the one Beth killed inadvertently - was from that area, right? Dr. Edwards knew him.

I don't think Noah is a dweeb and I bet he will prove to be a good asset. He made a comment about how they killed (didn't save) his dad because they may have been threatened by his dad...thinking he was the stronger one. Didn't Noah make a comment that Dawn thinks he is weak, but he really isn't? That he was playing the role until the timing was right?

They also showed Noah following D&C. He knew they were headed into a deadend and that he could get the drop on them.

And this leads to another rule in walker-world, don't put your weapon on the ground when squeezing through a small opening.

Maybe there was a reason the doors were chained!

After all, there was a reason the damn firetruck was backed up against the door. Duh. Who didn't see that coming?

Wouldn't Walkers eventually move out of a mostly empty city in search of food?

Yes. With the exception of the Lurkers.

They only move if something attracts them or they see others trying to get into something or go somewhere. They don't really think about food scarcity. Like the helicopter in season 2 lead some out of Atlanta but many more just kinda stood around waiting for stimuli

Not all of them behave that way. Some roam around no matter what and move in herds...some just stand/sit until a stimuli is introduced.

According to Robert Kirkman, the tank is the same one. The rooftop where Merle was handcuffed was also somewhere in the episode.

That's what I thought Daryl was looking at from the window (when he saw the van teetering on the overpass).

What did the people in the sleeping bags/tents die from? Starvation, disease, exposure? It made for a cool shot but it had me wondering.
Centerpole90

I don't remember if it was Noah or Daryl, but one of them theorized in the episode that they were all killed by a fellow 'camper' who was reducing competition for food resources.
