Ha! It is multifactorial, but the biggest is that my wife and I don't want to expose them to a ton of TV. It helps that my 6 year old is generally disinterested too. When they do get screen time, it is general Disney movies/shorts, VeggieTales, and Mr Rogers (thank you Amazon Prime). And Aggie sports of course.

I would get rid of Lazytown. Its some wacked-out show with a mix of real actors wearing weird wigs and prosthetics, and creepy looking puppets. F'n creepy. I mean like, keep you up at night creepy.

Yo Gabba Gabba? I actually enjoy that one. They have pretty good cameos and musical guests. The creator of YGG is actually the lead singer of the Aquabats, who have a totally kickass show called The Aquabats! Supershow!

I think its just that I get creeped out by characters that move and act human-like, but have faces that never move.

Constant, creepy smiles and never blinking eyes that stare straight into your soul.

I have banned Lazytown from our home; it looks bizarre.

Have you ever used the Sprout Snooze-a-thon to get the kids to get ready for bed? 30 minutes of every Sprout character sleeping; I always suspect they'll cut to a shot of Sporticus in the gym pumping iron and sweating profusely while everyone else is night-night.

I was shocked at the number of dads who came along. And who could sing all the songs. Not to mention how the crowd roared when Biz Markie showed up and starting singing "Just a Friend."

I am a little sad I think my son has outgrown it, but I haven't removed it from the DVR yet.

The first time my husband saw the show, he whispered to me what was up with walking, talking dildo.

And I would get rid of Dora.
I hate that show.


BTW, the reason you never see Max and Ruby's parents is because Ruby killed them and buried them in the backyard. They interrupted a Bunny Scout meeting and had to die. Why do you think they grow such nice fruits and vegetables? That is why Max barely speaks. He is terrified he is next.

My son is obsessed with Wild Kratts. I don't mind because he's actually learning stuff and telling me later about this animal and that animal.

And yeah, I've always been a little disturbed by the fact that Max and Ruby are essentially on their own.
