I'm really getting into it...surprised it took so long for this thread to get bumped after Sunday.

Loved the quips about Microsoft when they were finally walking into ComDex, before witnessing the "SlingShot".
It's gotten better and better with each episode.

They are a fictional computer company going against real life winners of this race. If they beat the Apple's, HPs, and Compaq's of the world that would be revisionism. So does that mean they are destined to fail?

Maybe I missed it, but has it officially been picked up for a second season?
quote:My only guess is that they get absorbed by a larger real company. But that is sorta boring.quote:

This is my big issue as well. I just don't see how they're going to navigate this. I guess Mad Men exists in a world where they still acknowledge many of the real/great campaigns of the time, but the computer world is a much more recent and well-established thing in the minds of the audience. And I was fine with how they've dealt with all that until last night, when Apple basically became a major plot point. It was a cool moment, but has weird overall repercussions.

Cant decide if I should watch this or not. I like the actors but it looks kind of boring. Wouldn't say this thread has swayed me either.
TC, did you see GOTG? Lee Pace is the villain in it. Thought he was pretty great too.

Then what does she do a couple episodes later? She leaves the company and takes the whole development team with her. What a beotch.
