I know I'm in the minority, but I just did not like that movie.
And I'm a big fan of DDL.

I love it. The church scene still makes me cringe. Very hard to watch.

I agree. Both of the scenes that take place inside the church are very disturbing. Paul Dano's character throughout the entire movie is very disturbing.

The only DDL movie I've seen that I did not care for.
One of my favorite movies of all time.
Another all time fav came out the same month - No Country for Old Men

No country is my favorite movie in the past 10 years. There will be blood was ok. I think ddls performance carried the movie to ok. Without him I wouldn't watch it again. If its on ill watch it.
Amazing movie and amazing performances by DDL and Paul Dano.
That year's oscar race was one of the best ever (in my opinion) between it and No Country.

Incredible movie. Wouldn't surprise me if it holds up better than NCFOM 20 years from now. And NCFOM is one of my 15-20 favorite movies.

NCfOM had to delay shooting at least once because of smoke coming from the TWBB set.

LOVE this movie. PT Anderson's masterpiece to this point. Had NCFOM not come out that year I think it would have won BP and Best Director and deserved it. Just a haunting and awesome movie!
I like DDL but I thought this movie was boring. If you take DDL out of it, put some unknown actor in his place, and that guy performed just as well as DDL, then I bet most people would say, "that actor was the only thing good about that movie."
Loved that movie, but can definitely see how others wouldn't. It's a bit slow.

You would fail reading class. I think DDL was great in it, and that he was the only thing that kept me watching. The movie was otherwise boring as hell.
NCFOM and TWBB were the two movies that made me movie out to L.A. for film.
Atmag, the entire movie was about that character. Did you walk out of E.T. and state it sucked except for that alien?

E.T. did interesting things. The life of an oil tycoon is not interesting. If DDL were to play the life of me as an engineer, it would be even more boring. It would not matter if he were able to portray me exactly.
I had been starting to think aTmAg may be a troll, but now I see it's just that he's an engineer.
