Just saw it and really enjoyed it. Liked the subtle humor of the soldiers in Korea and I also chuckled at the brainchild slipping and then offing himself.

Also, how terrible of a stalking companion was that doc in the WHO facility? Not one, not tow, not three, not four, but FIVE loud noises?!?!

My last comment is this - that really wasn't a World War Z movie. Sure it had the name and a few basic premises in common, but it really wasn't the same or really even similar to the book.

I enjoyed the book and this movie, but I do hope someone makes a miniseries from the book at some point to tell a dew of the other stories.

No Yonkers? No Atchafalaya Basin?

Hard to believe they just pumped everyone full of meningitis and assumed everything is all right.

Better to be sick than ripped apart by a zombie?

Sick? Meningitis is not exactly a head cold. It's fatal if left untreated, which means they've have to treat it, which means they wouldn't be camouflage anymore.

How about just give everyone AIDS and have to take Magic Johnson shots every so often?

Seemed like the ending was the set up for a sequel or trilogy. Part II may be the actual war. Part III may be the aftermath/re-build.

I enjoyed it until the last third. The scenes with the zombie lab tech/doctor at the WHO facility were comical. In fact, people in the audience were laughing out loud, which I don't think was the intended reaction. Decent popcorn flick with a bad ending. Probably just the set up for a franchise.

I agree about the comical part. The zombies were funnier than they were scary.

The jaw snapping zombie made us laugh too.

Saw it today. Good, but not great. They could have cut thirty minutes from it and had a really gripping story.

It started off great with the scenes in Philadelphia then lost momentum, and during the scenes in Korea and much of the material in Israel I was reaching for a fast forward button that wasn't there. After they got on the airplane it picked up speed again and had a respectable finish.

One thing that stayed strong throughout, though, was the excellent use of sound. Bravo to that.

Re-reading World War Z to erase this from my memory. It's such greatness.
