Released yesterday. Mostly people I've never heard of, but they all look pretty much as I pictured them when I was reading it. Not entirely convinced on the Johanna Mason chick even if she did play angry/crazy well in Hatfields & McCoys. Just pictured that character more butch I suppose. Phillip Seymour Hoffman as Plutarch is absolutely perfect, IMO.

Given my lack of imagination in trying to grasp what was being described in Catching Fire I look forward to seeing what they'll do with the arena in this movie.

The same holds true for Mockingjay. Even though that was a cluster***k of a book anyway.

That's completely unnecessary. But under$tandable.

That's strange. As I was reading Mockingjay I was thinking that there was a bunch of stuff that needed to be trimmed out. That this book is being stretched into TWO movies doesn't give me a good feeling.

Hoffman is perfect for the role and none of these books should be divided into two movies.

I've only seen the movie and read the 1st book... I'd seen some other casting pics a few other places and they were quite the spoiler

So I guess the 2nd book has former tributes that won the hunger games all competing (since all the actors shown are older). Sort of a 75th hunger games anniversary sort of deal? And I can only guess the Capital sorta figures this will for sure be the end of Katniss since they are not happy with her at the end of book 1. I can only assume she is forced to compete as the only former female victor from District 12. I'm not asking for an answer here, just giving my assumptions. I have a long drawn out book I'm finishing right now and will have to go ahead and read Catching Fire once I'm done with it.

And what's this about the 3rd book being two movies? Well that's crap just because so many other book-to-movie adaptations are doing it. Nothing wrong with a good old fashioned movie trilogy!
