Another Wire Season 5 complaint. So original...

What is the deal with that season? It was still great, great television. And the finale sure as hell wasn't a letdown. The last episode wrapped up everything perfectly and is one of the best things I've ever seen on tv.

Season 4 IMO was Burns' attempt to make a statement due to past experience and season 5 was Simon's attempt. S4 hit big, S5 slightly missed(or hit, just couldn't be compared)...but that doesn't mean it was bad by any means. Got a little whacky. IMO, I think people get upset with season 5 because it was so realistic up to season 4, and even in 4 they were willing to suspend a tad of disbelief due to the drug issue in this country, but 5 just got too weird for them. But how else could you expose the pathetic attempts of media to get stories than to do something crazy and dupe a zealous reporter?

if you check out the interviews of this episode on amctv.com , Jonathan Banks got very emotional and choked up when they asked him about mikes death. he loved the character of Mike and working with the entire cast, especially those scenes of just he, Aaron Paul and Bryan Cranston. he was really hoping that he would get to make it closer to the end, although i think he said it was going to happen at some point.. pretty cool to see.

Right on. Mr. Show is possibly the greatest sketch comedy show all time.

Don't know if this has been posted before, but AMC posts a podcast after each episode. Usually its Gilligan and rotating cast of actors, writers, directors, etc. Definitely worth a listen.

Don't know if this has been brought up in one of these boards but I had a HOLY CRAP moment when I was watching Beverly Hills Cop last weekend and realized one of the bad guys is a much younger Mike.

Yeah. Most people were younger in 1984.

I had thought you thought he'd be the same age in 1984 as he was in 2012.

Not really an Holy Crap moment for me. But I had looked him up on IMDB at one point trying to figure out where I recognized him. So for me it was more of an Oh Yeah moment as BHC was definitely the film I was trying to remember him from.
