there's one episode that ive been really trying to find to watch....

it's the one where homer goes on medicinal marijuana....i remember one scene in particular that i laughed at for a long ass time....

homer and marge were having a discussion about homer being on the drug, and marge was concerned about how it was affecting him, and homer said he was fine.....then he walks into the next room and proclaims in a most surprised voice, "Wha! We have a kitchen!?"

Announcer: "Welcome to the Krusy Komedy Klassic!!!"
Krusty: "Hey, hey, hey!!! (looks behind him) Oh, that's not good."

Probably my favorite sight gag ever.

Bill, wasn't the Krusty Komedy Klassic taking place live at the Apollo?

There is only one cartoon that can come close to the Simpsons, and that is the other Matt Groening vehicle, "Futurama". Then, there is South Park. WAY WAY behind those three is Family Guy and the rest.

Family guy is plagiarism.

"fast humor" my ass. It's drawn out random jokes that just try to make as obscure references as possible.

The downfall also coincided with when the show went to that different looking animation...I guess it's the computer stuff vs hand drawn?

I was thinking about this the other day - they were showing the old one where Bart almost fails the 4th grade. I remember when I first saw that I was in the 3rd. Now I'm closer to Homer's age.
