Wait, I am confused, so they were still not in the "real world" in the real world.

The last movie was easily the most disappointing movie I've ever seen. I actually really liked the second one, mostly because of all of the doors that it opened and I was expecting them to explain in the third movie. Then the third movie didn't really explain much and was just all-around pretty terrible. I lol'd at whoever made that comment about it being s##t that only George Lucas could appreciate.

The original was greatness.

After the 2nd movie when Neo wtfpwns the sentinel in the real world (after he opened up his mind and believed he could down it), it opened up his mind to the realization that all the "freed" men in Zion were still plugged in. Another layer of control to mute the human spirit. Neo's powers existed in the faux-real-world because he was still manipulating the programming.

Yeah, for all the CGI problems, that has to be one of the better cliffhangers to end a movie that I can remember.

No, he was saying what he wished it would have been. They were in the real world. Neo had powers over the machines as part of him was still part of the system.

The second and third were horrible movies.

Yeah, I caught that sentinel bring down at the end of the second one. I thought that they were saying that either there was another level of v.r. or that Neo's "the oneness" was spilling into the "real world."

The last film didn't seem to follow that up or make effective use of that ambiguity.

I saw the 3rd one but can't remember it. I forgot that neo died. Still don't remember.

All I know is that they should have left it at the first one.

Pulled this off a FAQ about the Matrix:
quote:
30. HOW THE HELL DOES NEO KILL THE SENTINELS? (M3)
+- -+
Neo was able to kill the sentinels because he was connected to the source,
he was able to connect to each sentinel and make them self-destruct. He
connected to the source through the architect.

So the Architect gave him WiFi?

quote:
2. HOW DID NEO GAIN HIS ABILITIES IN THE REAL WORLD? (M3)
+- -+
Interaction with The Architect gave him a new upgrade that allowed
him to be somewhat connected to machines, therefore giving him the
ability to kill machines with limited power. Neo essentially becomes
"connected" with machines after his meeting with the Architect.

???

So the Architect upgraded his human form. ??

Its such a friggin stretch, just say "freedom is an illusion"!!!!

When i walked outta the third movie i joked to my brother "they purposefully made these last 2 suck so they could remake em in ten years and everyone would wanna see them set the trilogy right"

how hilarious it would be if the jest proved true...
