Not individual songs so much, but the whole album. The kind of album you could put in and just play because all of the songs are good. There used to be some GREAT albums. I don't think any today stack up, but then again, we are now in the "single" "ipod" generation. (I have yet to buy one, still going strong with the cds!)

I was in school in the 90s, and the albums I thought were greatness were

1. Ten and Versus - Pearl Jam
2. Collective Soul and Dosage - Collective Soul
3. Blue Album - Weezer
4. Siamese Dream - Smashing Pumpkins
5. August and Everything After and Recovering the Satellites - Counting Crows
6. Tweleve Gracious Melodies (Purple) - STP
7. Sixteen Stone - Bush

80s guy, you're thinking of "Appetite for Destruction", one of the all-time greats.

The other required listening for my high school years included Bon Jovi's "Slippery When Wet" and Van Halen's "5150" and "OU812".

I graduated high school in '83 and YEAH back then we spent a lot of time in the video arcards. I was a champ at 'Donkey Kong'. Also played a lot of 'Asteroids', 'Tempest', 'Centipede', 'Defender', 'Galatica' and a pinball machine called 'Fireball'. All the games were a quarter back then so for five or six bucks, you could play for a few hours. Of course back then the differences between the games in the arcades and our little stick figure home video games were huge! Nowadays...not so much difference.

Cranberries - that couch cd

I think the title was "Everybody's Doing It, So Why Can't We?"

One of the Oasis albums was mentioned, but the first one was good too, although I don't recall the name of it. The disc was blue.

Other good albums that I've thought of are
1. Cracked Rear View by Hootie and the Blowfish
2. Monster by R.E.M.
3. The Vertical Horizon album with the girl cutting a flip on it

I haven't listened to some of these albums in years, but I'm going to have to find my old CDs (or tapes) and have a listen

Some vinyl albums that I bought in 1958-1961:

"Buddy Holly Hits" - Buddy Holly.

"At Last!" - Etta James.

"Two Steps From The Blues" - Bobby "Blue" Bland.

"Patsy Cline Hits" - Patsy Cline.

"Runaround Sue" - Dion.

"Giant Steps" - John Coltrane.

"Time Out" - Dave Brubeck Quartet.

"Live At The Chicken Shack" - Jimmy Smith.

"Gunfighter Ballads" - Marty Robbins.

I now have CDs of all these to which I still listen.
