How long do you want to ignore this user?
Has it said who killed Rita yet? Is Dexter currently searching for the killer? Seems like this has become back burner.

The trinity killer at the end of season 4. He just happened to get to her a few hours before Dexter killed him.

It was pretty obvious to me that the baby killed her. He was on the scene and covered in her blood. I can't think of anyone else who could have done it.

Well if you go and watch the first episode of this season, Dexter says he did it. So there you go.

Well there are a few story lines still incomplete:

Trinity kills Rita. Dexter kills Trinity and disposes of Trinity. Dexter and Police find Rita, police determine Arthur Miller (Trinity) is on the lamb because he left his family. The Trinity case was officially given to the FBI, but this entire story line is dark now that the FBI doesnt have a manhunter. To the Kyle Butler lead is a matter of the FBI and obviously they wont find anything on Kyle or Arthur. So its just a wash. Maybe the blond from Cold Case can take care of it in 10 years.

So what happens to Aster and Cody? They just live with the grandparents while the legal custodian, Dexter, never talks to em again. Hell he preventative killed a pedophile to protect "his family" and now they are just out of the loop entirely.

Deb revealed to Dexter that Brian was his real brother (final episode 4th season). Now he knows, she knows, and his behavior doesnt change toward her (still distant). Better yet Deb doesnt see Dexter any differently. She doesnt have any intuition that Dexter has a darkness like Brian. Dexter is just neat, not controlling; he is withdrawn, just not damaged. Mon Dieu, how did she ever become a detective?

After sitting through season 2 and 3, they owe fans a little more than this. I would hate to have to wait till season 6 or 7 to get a cogent storyline that isnt filled with gaps and loose ends.

PS. The double homocide asphiciation masturbation murder! Why did the supposed sex fiends start in one warehouse and bleed all the way to the second for completion?!?

So I'm guessing you didn't watch season 4 of Dexter? Because there's really no other way you could've missed all that.

in all likelihood it was trinity, but this is premium tv. They love to revisit the past and throw an interesting twist here and there.

I wouldnt be surprised if somewhere down the road it is revealed that someone else killed her. I believe ritas death didnt exactly fit his MO (broke the cycle for one thing).

Just a thought.

So someone else drained a woman in a bathtub. Im not 120% but Im sure Rita was sliced on her inner thigh. So unless we have a copycat, I think its Trinity.

Plus I went back and watched the scene when Trinity was on Dexter's table. Dexter kept asking how to cope, even asked if he should fake his death and run away, but Arthur told him he cant escape his darkness and he needs to blend in to survive. Dexter said something to the effect of "at least I have my family" and Arthur kinda gave him a look like "I know something you dont know."

About the M.O. didnt Trinity kill others outside of his M.O. too. I know he had a ritual of the bathtub, the fall and the bludgeoning. But didnt he divert when he went on his trips or when "Kyle Butler" got introduced to him?

Youre probably right. I thought i remember them saying that he broke his MO but now that you mentioned it i think it was during an earlier episode with a different victim. My point was just that Ive seen crazier things happen on TV (like bringing back characters supposed to be dead).

I just found it odd trinity never mentioned anything about rita while on his deathbed, and that he would jump back into the cycle again so soon. Did they ever say how often the cycles occured?

Well the cycle in Miami was 30 years apart. But his work with "Habitat for Humanity" allowed him to do the cycle whenever he was outta town.

Obviously Arthur was being freed by his connection to "Kyle." He took Kyle to the place "it all started," Arthur's childhood home where his sister fell in the tub because he was a curious child. Then he creeped out the family in the restaurant in the hotel after he had a massive revelation.

DAMNIT! Im still pissed they killed Rita. WHY COULDNT IT HAVE BEEN DEB?!!? (I know shes sleeping with the E.P.)
