Somekind of alien envasion movie filmed in first person? I understand District 9 was like this but it wasn't a horror film. I think it could be cool.

I liked Cloverfield and didn't have any issues watching it. If done correctly then you can almost get lost in the movie (in a good way).

Isn't this essentially the plot of JJ/Steven Spielberg's upcoming "Super 8"?

at the end of the film during the flashback on the film while the couple is on the ferris wheel at coney island you can see something fall from the sky and land in the water off shore. However, that is it, nothing else really explained.

Last i read Super 8 is to be filmed like a traditional movie, not in first person video.

I remember reading something somewhere about how the Cloverfield monster was actually like a "baby" that woke up from deep within the ocean.

I remember reading it was a baby, but I think it was suppossed to have come from outer space.
