Ok...Nicolas Coppolla (Cage) was the first choice for Brad. The studio decided to go with a more experienced actor. He had several lines cut from the movie, but he is shown at least 3-4 times.

Ben Afleck and Matt Damon were extra's in Field of Dreams, but aren't on camera. Matt talks about how cool it Kevin Costner and JEJ were to them, that he decided that he'd always be nice to extras and talk with them. He spoke to a group of about 30 CTs when filming Courage Under Fire, and was really cool and friendly. Denzel avoided eye contact and ignored everyone.

Tom Cruise is bearded and gets shot in Young Guns.

And seriously, if you guys have seen these movies, most of these people are pretty blatant.

My father and I were extras in "Glory" as he's been a CW reenactor for decades. My brief scene was cut, but he actually gets pretty good time on camera on the beach before the assault on Battery Wagner.
