The other thread gave me the idea and one of the movies I mentioned in there cemented it.

"Ecstasy of Gold" from "The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly".


There are tons more that I'm sure I'll come back and add, but again, this one planted the seed for the thread.

The scene in Return of the Jedi when Luke finally snaps and starts wailing on Vadar. The music is very subtle yet sets the mood perfectly.

Clubbed to Death in the Matrix. The scene where he's in the sim program,walking through a city and everyone is dressed in black/gray, and he sees the woman in the red dress.

That music is awesome then.

Pretty much that entire soundtrack is awesome for the movie.

Superman II... at the end, when General Zod instructs Superman to kneel and take his hand to swear eternal loyalty to Zod, Superman takes the hand and breaks it when Zod thought Superman had been divested of his super strength ... quite a pleasing rendition of the Superman theme there.

I thought of a couple more for me...

2 parts in In The Departed (2006), it doesn't show the title until 17 minutes into the film and then Drop Kick Murphy's song kicks in. Also in The Departed when Leo begins to pound Matt Damon's girlfriend and Comfortably Numb comes on.

Apocalypse Now (1979) when they are water skiing down the Cambodian River and Laurence Fishburne cranks up "Satisfaction."

The home run scene in "The Natural" the score is perfect.

and I have to give a nod to "Gonna Fly Now" from the Rocky movies, I always want to stop what I'm doing and run up some steps or punch a side of beef when I hear that.
