Spike TV is reviving its classic faux reality series The Joe Schmo Show, where a group of actors fool a TV wannabe into thinking he’s on the most insane competition series ever. Returning after nine years off the air, Spike will launch a new edition in 2013 titled Joe Schmo: The Full Bounty.
In this version, the contestant believes he is on a new reality show looking for America’s next great bounty hunter. His castmates are collection of reality TV clichés — including Lorenzo Lamas, playing himself. The “Joe” will face bounty hunting-related challenges like learning how to defuse a “bomb” and interrogating a hostile witness, not knowing everybody else on the show is in on the joke.
