Sin City

I discredit Sin City because it was a shot for shot adaptation of Frank Miller's masterful works. It's pretty difficult to mess that up. I'm going more with his actual original works. Doesn't seem right to compare the two.

i don't think that anyone in the cast can turn down a paycheck. adrien brody is a decent actor but he hasn't done anything noteworthy for a while.

I made up my mind today to go see this movie. But I will have the lowest expectations going in hoping that I won't be disappointed like I was for the last movie "Requiem".

Yes, I am aware which actually makes it more impressive. He's worse than Shalamamaman in that regard, he doesn't even have to direct it for it to be terrible.

Saw it at midnight and, as a fan who saw both Predators in the theaters, this movie was everything a fan would want it to be.

This one fits right into the series smoothly and seamlessly.

Great action. Good actors. The music is from the original (which gave me warm fuzzies to hear again). Very respectful of the "rules" laid out by the previous movies. Never saw "Vacancy" or "Armored" but maybe I should because this director is pretty good.

No spoilers here....but Topher Grace is worth the price of admission. You'll know what I mean.

Oh, and it has Danny "Machete" Trejo in it.....and they showed a brand new trailer for "Machete" and it looks insane.

Oh yeah, one more thing: I wish more movies would start off with the bang this one did.

never saw predator 2, but i can pretty much guarantee it's better than that one too.

great popcorn flick, nothing more, nothing less.

I thought it was good, but had issue with the casting of Adrien Brody. Just didn't feel right. Plus, his voice coach must have been Christian Bale.

I really enjoyed the movie last night. The theater was 90% full - which was pretty impressive. I saw the first two Predators, but not the last two. This one captured a lot of the original feel & style of the first one.

Two thumbs up!

By the way.... Laurence Fishburne has really packed on the lbs.
