My guess as to what happens over the next couple of weeks. 13 is gone for a few episodes (probably off working on a movie or something). Chase keeps lying to Cameron about what he and Foreman have been scheming about and she leave him (and the show). Foreman steps down from the boss role, 13 returns and they add another doctor.

So is Chase also leaving the show? I like him.

Dude was equating his great business decisions to his bad family life - first his wife and now his son. He believed in kharmic balance where the good in your life equals the bad, but does not necessarily stay inside the same aspect. He attempted to shift the good from the business to the good in his family life, thereby also switching the bad from family to business.

So by making bad business decisions that would bankrupt him he was hoping to switch the good to his family and save his son. His belief in kharma allowed House to see the real reason his son was sick and thereby save him and complete the balance in the dude's life.

i was disappointed in this weeks episode. it just didn't do much for me.

if/when cameron leaves the show im gonna boycott.

seeing chase/foreman/cameron do their thing never gets old. especially when we had the other team for 2 seasons.

it is getting back to being the same thing over and over again. where the patient is sick, they think they fix it, but that fix causes somehting worse, the symptoms worsen, house stares off in to space because of something someone said or did, and comes up with the answer. and saves the day.

but you could argue most shows are like that. Have a simple forumla. House's season premiere this year was good though.

It's always been like that since the first season.

House is interesting enough of a character, well acted enough by Laurie, to be able to keep up with the formulaic style.

If that's all you take from each episode then you're missing the entire point of the show. Yeah, it's a formula that they've stuck to for most of their run, but in general, the illness and how House comes up with the answer isn't the point. Those are devices used to illustrate what's going on in the characters' lives, or point out flaws in their logic. Watch the first couple of seasons (still the best if you ask me) and you'll see every episode uses the cases to provide a look into the psyche of House. THAT's what makes the show greatness.

Another awesome episode. I definitely didn't see the big surprise coming! This season has been great so far. Oh and Cuddy looks hot as hell!

I liked the patient "coming back to life" part because it gave my husband and I a good laugh as we were bored up to that point.

The actual storyline with House hearing things and Chase hiding his problem from his wife just irritated me. I didn't appreciate this episode.

My DVR recorded 30 minutes of the baseball game, so I only got to see the set up of the show....annoying.

yeah, we had that problem too! We THOUGHT we fixed it by changing the setting to "record 30 min. after scheduled time to end," but it didn't record!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thankfully we record Lie to Me, which comes on after House, so we caught it! Wheww...

I just watched last week's episode (the one with Will from West Wing) and I really have enjoyed this season. It seems like this season is less of CSI in a hospital and more of a drama that involves medical mysteries as well.

I disagree that that's a good thing.

I haven't been watching this show since the beginning, but I think I'd get real tired of it after 5 years of it being exactly the same every week.

I'm not saying I'd want it to be a full blown ER type drama, but I appreciate them weaving a lot more storyline into it than just focusing solely around that week's mysterious case and House getting the twinkle in his eye hours before the patient's death.

I agree with some of that. But if you haven't noticed a plot or character development, then you haven't been watching. That's a big part of the show.

Also, some of the medical aspects really bug me. No doctor would tell the patient a diagnosis before doing any types of diagnostics (just based on hunches), and they do this 3 or 4 times each episode.

But I still watch. Fun medicine, good characters. Large flaws, but it's a tv show, so who cares?
