Anyone who went to school in the mid to late 90s remember the Allred motors commercials on TV in B/CS with the guy Eely (sp?)? He stumbled his way through the ads. Has anyone seen them online? I was telling a friend about them, but couldn't find them.

i enjoyed the fact he often filmed on the windiest day possible. great stuff
I had forgotten about that element, and now I can't stop laughing at the thought of all of that wind noise. It was a nice complement to the squinting that resulted from staring right into the sun.
So... uhhhh.... come on down. Uhhhhhhh.... Credit problems? Not a problem. Uhhhhh.... I had a few myself (NO WAY!) It's more about who you are, uhhhh... what you got going for you. (like credit?)

those commercials were horrible, but amusing
I always wanted to ask Eely if he could work with me if I wanted a car that wasn't red.
So many horrible local commercials in BCS: Allred, Potato Shack, that tanning salon one where the yellow lab walks in and comes out black, watching Marshal Dillon grow up (can't remember what the company was).
What about the ads for the plasma donation place (DCI Bioligicals?)

Can't seem to find them...I emailed the station to see if they had it on file.

the larry bird commercial is for transmissions...
allred and larry bird commercials are probably the 2 greatest local commercials ever put together.
the difference though is that the allred commercial was just bad, and made poorly but was so entertaining and stupid we remember it.

Getting to see Allred Motors commercials on youtube starring Ely, Matt, Sandy and Pedro is one of my missions in life. I haven't seen them around 01-02.

Man, I loved those All Red commercials. I sure wish youtube was around back then.
I remember them. I guess he was trying to come off like he was an ordinary honest guy who didn't write his commercials. Unfortunately for him he just came across as a moron.
