I say all of us lost fans in CS get together and rent out a theater for the series finale next year. If we can get a big enough group together and all pitch in, it shouldn´t be too expensive.

I don´t know about anyone else, but I would be ridiculously pumped to see LOST on the big screen.

If I'm around...I'm in. The tough thing will be making reservations in enough advance, with everyone knowing they'll be in CS at the given time.

I wish theaters would do this across the country regardless...because they would sell out, IMO. I know the Anderson Lane Drafthouse in Austin would sell out, and they do funky stuff from time to time...we'd definitely have to do it at the Bistro in CS for beer-drinking purposes if it does happen.

Yeah that sounds like a great idea! We would have to do it at the Cinemark though, premiere has crappy screens even though they have better chairs. I think you should def call some theater and ask into it. I know a lot of peeps that would definitely be into that.

true...doesn't the cinemark use DLP or digital screens?

Yeah they use some sort of digital screens. I know your sacrificing comfort, but common, when you watching the last episode of Lost, you want the picture to be awesome.

Alamo Draft House already does this in Houston for each LOST finale.

austin alamo does this for each lost episode - for free i believe.
think about it - they aren't selling movie tickets on a wed night, and even with free admission, they're still making $$ off of everyone getting overpriced beer/soda/food.

Dude...that's a GREAT idea. I know that to rent a theater you have to buy every seat. I have a friend who works for Cinemark marketing and that's what she told me when I tried to rent for my wife's birthday party. It's expensive but if you get enough advertising, it's totally doable.

explain how you get around cinemark or whoever making a profit off a showing of a network TV show? i bet there is a licensing fee that's astronomical, or people would already be doing this.
