It has major spoilers. Don't even scroll down unless you want to know everything about the movie.

The movie was 101 minutes WITHOUT credits or the opening logo.

Right from the opening show the visual style is great, very vibrant and anime like and thats thanks to Hyrbride who have worked on 300 and Sin City.

Now there was alot of action in this movie more so than most comic book adapations though most are short bursts of action rather than big epic scenes (except for the major fights).

There was Goku vs Gohan, The student's, Roshi, Yamcha, Piccolo, Mai, Piccolo. Along with Roshi vs Piccolo and Mai vs Chi Chi.

But the main fights are Goku vs Piccolo and Roshi vs Piccolo thats the big scenes.

There was a lot of comedy with Roshi easily being the funniest, though Goku and Bulmas interactions were at times funny.

The story was different in a few aspects but it kept the overall plot of the Goku and Lord Piccolo sagas.

The dialogue was alright for the most part Piccolo and Roshi has some great lines, whereas Chi Chi had some pretty cheesy lines and sometimes a few corny lines from Yamcha and Mai had like one line. But its what you would expect in this type of movie.

Justin Chatwin played a good Goku who is pretty dumb and loveable and he still loves to fight. The line "Im not ready for this" was not in the movie.

Bulmas character was similar to her anime counterpart except shes a little bit more eager to get in on the action.

Yamcha doesnt have that much of a role he appears in the desert and traps Goku, Bulma and Roshi in an attempt to steal there ride and this causes a short fight between Goku and Yamcha which Goku wins easily. But once he see's the beauty of Bulma he is instantly smitten and follows them on there journey. He is more of a Bandit than a Warrior.

Piccolo was amazing he sounded like Darth Maul and he was the strong no nonsense warrior like in the anime, James Marsters played that role to perfection.

Roshi wasnt perverted, instead he was more cheeky such as touching Bulma's bum, and caressing his thigh though he was the funniest in the movie, i expect everyone to like him.

Chi Chi was pretty annoying and the worst thing about the movie and her little subplot could have been cut out.

Sadly Shenlong wasnt that spectacular he comes out of the Dragon Avatar and is hald covered in smoke however what did make me laugh was the dramatic music bringing in the all powerful Dragon for him simply arise and go "....what".

Sadly im running out of room so i shall have to brief now. The movie was actually pretty good i throughougly enjoyed it, very entertaining and was great visually. Sadly Chi Chi brings it down a notch and Shenlongs appearance was dissapoinitng.

Im pretty sure people will enjoy it because its a good popcorn flick but it wont be getting any oscars. I would give the movie a 7.5 if you have any questions please go ahead.

And here are a series of questions :

Piccolo :

The younger Piccolo is greener than the older one, he appears more human.

Piccolo’s beams are red not yellow but the shape of the special beam cannon is the same, He does the same pose as in the anime where he puts his fingers to his head.

What about roshi ?

Roshi isn’t perverted but more of a cheeky old man and he is much wiser than in the anime

Shen Long :

You kind of see shen long, it was weird though he kind of came out the dragon altar and was in the air covered by some kind of fog. Sadly Shenlong wasn’t that spectacular. There is dramatic music bringing in the all powerful Dragon, there is a lot of suspense and the music enhances the tension but when the dragon finally appears he just says “ WHAT ?..” funny scene.

Cameos ?

Yes, there is Namu, Upa, Bora, Pan put, Bacterion and Ramfran.

Upa and bora were with Roshi in the Tibet like mountains when 1st introduced, Tibet scenes were very short it’s a place goku and bulma head to 1st, the others were just people fighting in the background whilst goku spoke to chi chi.

Flashback?

The only flashback is when goku looks into a dragonball and sees a meteor crash then a red eye opens, this is at the start when gohan dies.

Location of the dragonballs ?

Well you don’t see them get all the dragonballs, goku has 1, bulma has 1, roshi has 1, there’s 1 at Tibet, yamcha has 1, and mai just has the others

Dragon Temple :

After Piccolo obtains the Dragon balls he raises the Dragon Temple and heads to the summoning altar to call upon the Dragon.

Goku, Roshi, Bulma and Yamcha head there when Roshi faces off with Piccolo who uses the Mafuba to try and kill Piccolo. (Piccolo wishes for youth and is interrupted by Roshi before he can make his second wish) It ultimately fails and Piccolo pierces Roshi's heart with a Special Beam Cannon.

Piccolo gets his wish and then goku finds roshi dead so he attacks him, piccolo and goku fight hand to hand and piccolo has the upper hand so goku gets his staff and piccolo chops it in half and sends goku through a wall. Bulma and yamcha find the dragon balls and take them and find the half dead goku and drag him out of there

Tournament :

The tournament is really small its just a chi chi sub plot whilst goku and co go on there journey they come across a tournament that goku knows chi chi is attending so he visits her, then mai spies on them and enters the tournament to fight chichi and she cuts her during the fight and takes her blood and chi chi ends up winning then later on mai turns into chi chi.

She gets the blood and uses the DNA to transform; how it works I don’t know. She tries to seduce goku to get the dragon balls he stole, chi chi shows up and there’s a little scuffle when she gets out her gun, she shoots at goku and eventually goku wins and mai returns to piccolo which is when he kills her for failing.

Can you describe the general art direction of the movie, a lot of filters, what feel does the movie have ?

Visually its very impressive its very vibrant and colorful without looking cartoony, and I haven’t seen any film like dragon ball before its very unique that has the feel of old Asian movies while having futuristic elements to it.

Funny scene ?

The funniest scene is when they all fall and in the pit and roshi purposely falls on bulmas bum and she gets her gun and starts shooting.

About oozaru :

The Destroyer really has a 2 minute scene where he breaks down a bunch of pillars and smashes everything around him. He doesn't kill anyone. Though he does send Piccolo flying through walls. He stands like a gorilla he’s about 11 or 12 feet. He has a tail like a

Baboon. With all hair on his back. And the face is demonic looking with red eyes. So not very similar to the anime.

The near the end after piccolo chops off the destroyers’ tail he tells goku he’s a saiyan

Can you describe the scene in which roshi knows goku is gohan's grandson ?

Well Goku simply tells him that he was sent by Gohan then Roshi tells him how they used to both train under there master Sifu Norris.

Cliffhanger ?

No but it definitely leaves something open for the sequel which they are still planning on going ahead with.

Was marsters lying about piccolos heroic change in the end of the movie ?

I wouldn’t say heroic, but at the end he respects Goku on a good battle then he flies off.

Kami does not appear and you hear nothing of him. The staff was called the "Nyimbo" and it did extend. Goku uses it against Piccolo in there first battle to which Piccolo chops it in half with his sword.

How many Kamehameha waves are in the movie and what was the most amazing one ?

Roshi I think does two, one of which he shows Goku and the other he uses on Piccolo.

Goku did it several times I can’t say how many but at the end is the big one he uses to finish on Piccolo which goes right through his chest.

Did the capsules look like their anime counterpart ?

The only capsule was for the Bike which was a black cube that quickly folds out into a futuristic quad bike.

Where do Goku and Piccolo fight ?

In the Volcano and the Dragon Temple

How long is the final battle ?

About 15 minutes.

Is it violent ?

Not really any more so than Spiderman or X-men, thought Piccolo does blow up cities and pierces Roshis heart with an attack.

More Details :

- Sift norris had a Persian cat called korin

- There is little blood and it will be pg-13

- Goku's tail only appears as a destroyer

In the trailer there are 2 UFO's what are they ?

No there just meteors.

Other trailer ? Is fox aware that it has negative hype ?

There’s a domestic trailer coming soon and fox do know of the negative hype but also know it has good awareness on the web, the trailer was viewed 12 million times, there highest since star wars episode 3.

I think it's going to be a good popcorn movie. The visuals should be great. Can't wait till April 10th.

I didn't mind reading the spoilers since i have zero intention of seeing the movie. Now the new Street Fighter; that should be a work of beauty.
