i'll go ahead and say it...
i went to a nickleback show a couple of years ago and it actually was pretty good. chevelle opened up - i liked 'em and nickelback followed up with a pretty good arena rock show. in addition to their overplayed pop rock on the radio stuff they played some of what they called their "older" stuff (which was pretty metal) along with a pantera and slayer cover. it seems to me that they were originally a metal band and probably sold out to pop rock when they realized the money they could make.
i saw the crue and van halen (with haggar) all in a few years and i would rank
crue >>>>> nickleback > vh (they were pretty disappointing)
