I am a huge Star Wars fan, but I waited until Saturday to see the film. I was a little disappointed, but all in all, it was a good flick.
The Good:
Natalie Portman is hot, and acted beautifully in the film.
The cgi and special effects were incredible.
The jedi fight scenes and Yoda's fight scene were awesome.
It was cool to see Owen and Beru as youngsters.
It was cool to see Boba Fett as a kid.
It was very entertaining.
The Bad:
The love story, while I believe it should have been an integral part of the film for many reasons, was poorly done. The lines that Christensen was forced to speak were cheesy, lame, and forced. I don't necessarily think he is a bad actor, but his lines mad him look bad. The rolling around in the field and riding the dinobuffalo were just painful to watch. Lucas should hire someone else to write the dialogue, and he should stick to writing the overall storyline.
The dialogue between Dooku and Yoda before their lightsaber fight was horrible. Something to the effect of:
"Since it is obvious we are equals at throwing electricity at each other (otherwise known as "knowledge of the force"...WTF? ), we must now decide this with our skills with the lightsaber"
Talk about forced. I can just see two soldiers in the Civil War shooting at each other for a while until they meet in the center of the battlefield, then stopping. One of the says, "Since our shooting skills are both equal, we must now see who wins by fighting with our bayonets."
I thought the lightsaber scene kicked ass though.
